WORKING VISAS

There are many types of visas available, which can seem

overwhelming and confusing. Depending on your individual

application, CanadianVisa.org will assist you in selecting the

best visa program for YOU.

EXPRESS ENTRY

New to the visa application program, Express Entry is a process

aimed at allowing applicants to apply for Permanent Residence,

while ensuring that Canada is able to meet its current and future

labour market needs.

In short, potential candidates who are interested in applying for

Permanent Residence will register electronically under Express

Entry by providing information about their skills, work

experience, education, language ability and other details.

The Canadian Government will then select candidates based on

their credentials and invite them to apply under one of the

Federal immigration programs such as the Federal Skilled

Workers Program or the Federal Skilled Trades Program. The

different Canadian provinces will also be able to select and

recruit candidates registered under Express Entry in order to

meet their local labour market needs through their Provincial

Nominee programs. If you receive a job offer from a Canadian

employer, you will then be invited to apply for Permanent Resi-

dence based on the pre-arranged offer of employment.

PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM

The Canadian Provincial Nominee Program is open to 10 of the 13 Canadian

provinces and allows each individual province to nominate applicants,

based on the provinces’ unique needs. So, if a particular province is

experiencing a shortage of skilled health care workers, they could give

precedence to those applicants who have the necessary

qualifications.
