II COLLECTION TODAY The second collection today is for the Contemplative Nuns of Mexico. They will also be selling religious articles after Mass. II COLLECTION NEXT WEEK Next week’s collection is for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). CCHD was founded to end the cycle of poverty throughout America by funding organizations that help individuals help themselves and to defend human dignity and to take poverty off the map. Please give generosity. YES LORD. Your weekly support through the Sunday Offertory was $11,266.87. The II Collection for Annual Catholic Appeal was $1,328.10 Thank you for your stewardship.

School News This week beginning November 19, Student Council will sponsor a Thanksgiving food drive. Student Council’s goal this year is to provide Thanksgiving boxes for needy families in our parish community. Please encourage your child to participate to serve the needs of the poor and hungry in our community. If you know a local area family in great need, please let us know in the school office, 783-5225. The food drive will run November 19 – 25.

You can help provide a quality Catholic education for deserving Immaculate Conception students and it won’t cost you a dime! How? Through CTSO, the Diocese’s Catholic Tuition Support Organization, you elect to divert some of your state taxes and designate where you would like your tax dollars to go, up to $2,006 filing jointly, $1003.00 filing single. You’ll get all of the contribution back because the amount you give becomes a credit that will either increase your tax refund or decrease the amount you have to pay the state when you file your tax return. CTSO brochures are available at the back of the Church. These provide additional information and the form and envelope to make your contribution. We hope you will designate IC School and support our families! Thank you!

The removal of the lower center sections of the bottom windows in the main church is under consideration. Because of breakage and disintegration of the paint on some of the windows, a safety hazard exists. If you or a family member purchased one of these sections, please contact Kathy at 580-7948 for more information.

DIAMOND CELEBRATION

As you know, each calendar year from now through 2016 will emphasize a different aspect of our Parish. Last year was dedicated to the Mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe; the various groups that were a part of the fabric of Our Lady of Guadalupe were emphasized. This year is dedicated to the Franciscan Sisters. The year started on January 12 with a Mass and reception. The history of the Sisters at I.C. was presented. Additional events are listed below. The total amount of pledges to date is $264,125.10. We encourage our parishioners to support this campaign in order to raise the necessary funds to continue this program through 2016. If you haven't made a pledge, please consider a sacrificial gift of

at least $600 per family over a three-year term. There will be envelopes available at each of the church exits. You can bring your commitment letter to the Parish office. December 7, 2014 Concluding Celebration Mass at 11:30 a.m. with Bishop Kicanas and the Franciscan Sisters

To all the young ladies of our Parish, Ask yourself... “Would I like to crown the Blessed Mother?”

On Monday, December 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., our Parish is going to have a celebratory Mass for the Patroness of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. The Parish Celebration Committee will continue a beautiful tradition: a poem or prayer contest. We need more prayer in our families in order to build a stronger foundation for future generations. What a great way to celebrate! Young ladies, let’s make a difference now! We invite all the young ladies of our Parish to write a beautiful poem or prayer showing your love and devotion to our Blessed Mother. The young lady whose poem or prayer wins the contest will have the privilege of crowning our Blessed Mother at the first Annual Celebratory Mass for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. She will have the honor of having her poem or prayer at the feet of our Blessed Mother for the entire year. It will be displayed for all to see and pray!

The Immaculate Conception Celebration Committee encourages all the young ladies of our Parish to become more aware of the Patroness of Immaculate Conception. Good luck to all the young ladies and God bless. Complete, sign, and return the entry form presented below prior to November 30, 2014. Your poem or prayer may be submitted with the entry form or later, but no later than November 30. Additional forms may be picked up at the IC School office or the Parish office. Please return the form to the Parish Office
