Dear Friends, In the world in which we live we are connected to more people than ever before. The electronic and global age have put us in connection with one another whether we want to be or not. Jesus tells us today of the great connection when we hear,

“I am the vine and you are the branches.” Our connection to Jesus connects us with all who are members of the Body of Christ, and being the branches gives us eternal food from Jesus. Through Word and Sacrament we are nourished and sustained. This time of year, like the Christmas season, finds us involved in everything. We have celebrated First Communion and Confirmation, wedding preparations are taking place. The ballfields at the edge of our property are bustling with activity everyday, and, yes, we continue to pray for good weather! I attended a meeting of the National Federation of Priests’ Council Convention in Chicago, as well as the Saint Meinrad Board of Overseers meeting last week. Both interesting in their own light! Priests’ jubilees are quickly approaching here in the Archdiocese as we will celebrate them in May, please pray for the clergy and for vocations. During the month of May we remember Mary, Mother of Jesus!!! Before each Mass we will sing a Marian hymn and, on the last Sunday of PREP class we will have our annual May Crowning. Please watch the bulletin. God bless, Fr. Chandler
