Petrochemical industriesWe have developed a range of valves to operate in the demanding extremes of temperature, pressure, corrosion and erosion commonly found in petrochemical processes such as Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA), ethylene, oxides, salts, fatty acids, polypropylene and chlorine. Thanks to our unique springless design, PTA Licensors have specified IMI Truflo Rona valves for their most severe applications.

Oil and gasIMI Truflo Rona’s range of valves can be found on both off-shore and on-shore facilities, where critical isolation and control of hydrocarbons is necessary. High reliability and robustness make these products the best choice for applications such as HIPPS, ESD, BDV, Riser and SSIV. The ease of maintenance and simplicity of designs generally allows inspection, maintenance and refurbishment intervals to be longer and without the need for special tools to remove the valves from the pipeline.

LNG carriers and terminalsLNG and LPG carrying ships worldwide use IMI Truflo Rona’s valves for this challenging service. The valves are engineered to allow continuous service and ease of maintenance to the highest standards, as set by the ship owners. Full automated and control valves are available for ship-to-shore discharge and loading, with minimal manning and reliable operation at -164°C. Already, 146 ships – which comprise more than 35% of the operating LNG carriers fleet worldwide – and 20 terminals have been equipped with IMI Truflo Rona valves. Thanks to our experience in LNG cryogenic applications, many liquefaction facilities have chosen IMI Truflo Rona valves. In particular, the Gorgon project has installed more than 2,300 manual and actuated IMI Truflo Rona top entry trunnion mounted ball valves.

High temperatures and erosive applicationsHigh-performance metal-to-metal technology has been implemented in IMI Truflo Rona’s range of ball, gate, globe and check valves for applications including high temperature (up to +850°C ) and for processes handling slurries or abrasive powders.

Oxygen serviceOxygen valves are manufactured for worldwide service on systems for all major producers of industrial gases. The valves are engineered to the highest safety specifications, involving selection and assembly under cleanroom conditions to allow immediate installation in critical process conditions.

Ball Valves Trunnion mounted wedge seats designThanks to its exclusive wedge seat design, our top entry trunnion mounted ball valves have self-adjusting seats that provide leak-tight closure under all operating conditions and valve orientations.

This design does not rely on the conventional spring energised floating seats, but provides automatic compensation for changes that occur as a result of varying pressure, temperature and wear. This specific design is particularly well- suited for those applications where seat pockets are weak points and slurries or trapped debris could cause premature maintenance.

The top entry configuration, together with the wedge seat design, allows fast, easy, in-line service and permits emergency situations to be safely and quickly solved. All working parts are accessible for service while the valve body stays in the line. No special tools or training are required for maintenance and repair.

C Ball Valves Trunnion mounted double eccentric: C-RexOur C-Rex, top entry segment ball valves are based on IMI Truflo Rona’s proprietary double eccentric design. C-Rex non-rubbing, torque seated valves offer mechanical sealing, guaranteeing superior performance even in the most adverse applications due to the temperature of fluid condition. The non-rubbing design drastically reduces running torques, resulting in benefits to our customers in terms of the use of smaller actuators and better precision on modulating applications.

The unique and renewable seat is easy to remove for maintenance and does not require special tools for repairs, making these valves the ideal solution for high cycling applications, such as switching, sampling, dryers, and any other process that combines the high frequency operation with presence of solids that would normally lead to a premature wearing of the sealing elements. No liquid or gases can be trapped inside the valve, as is the case with other standard designs.
