June winners of the Ss. Peter and Paul Men’s Club Raffle
were Nobert Kutsch and Dale Barton. Congratulations! Grief Share Nights are held the first Monday of each month
(unless it is a holiday), then they are held the second Monday
of the month, at 7 pm in the Ss. Peter & Paul Church base-ment. This event is open to anyone and is facilitated by Donna
Cota. Please call Donna at 563-581-7356 with any questions or
to get more information. Seven Sisters Apostolate: The Archdiocese of Dubuque ap-
proved this Apostolate in June 2014. We began This Aposto-
late in our LaSalle Pastorate in Aug. 2014. Since that time there has been someone praying for Father Diehm every day
for 1 hour. If you would like to join us, please consider the
one hour commitment per week or as a substitute for someone who cannot pray their hour because of sickness or vaca-
tion. This support for Priests was started by Jeanette Howe of
Minneapolis/St. Paul and has spread throughout the United States. If you have questions or would like to join, please call
Sue Lukasik at 870-4665. Visit the website; http://
sevensistersapostopate.org/ or sevensistersapostolate.org on google.
Save the Date for Totus Tuus which will be held in our pas-
torate from July 29-August 3 for 1st-12th graders. What is Totus Tuus “Totally Yours”? Totus Tuus is a summer Catho-
lic youth program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promot-
ing the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. Our week-long
Parish Summer Catechetical Program and Summer Camps assist parents and parishes in the evangelizing and catechizing
of their youth by supplementing the work they are already do-
ing. The methodology, structure, content, and enthusiasm of Totus Tuus is concerned not only with teaching the faith, but
also igniting the hearts of the team members and young peo-
ple. The result has been the formation of young adults who continue to dedicate themselves to the Church’s mission of
evangelization.
The Pope’s Prayer Intention for June 2018:

A MESSAGE FROM FR. DIEHM
Dear Parishioners, In this weekend’s Gospel, Jesus gives us two parables, both of them about the nature of the kingdom of God, and both involving seeds and planting. Here in Iowa, we know a thing or two about seeds and planting, surrounded as we are by corn fields. As agricultural as many of Jesus’ parables are, they make that much more sense to us because we live in an agricultural economy. In and through His parables Jesus wants us to understand something about the Kingdom of God – namely, that it starts small; it
grows in silent and hidden ways; and finally, it bears fruit. Jesus wants us to understand that the Kingdom of God doesn’t grow *out there* in distant places, but *in me, in each of us* - we are the ground in which the Kingdom of God is planted; we are the ground in which the Kingdom of God must grow and bear fruit. How is the seed planted? By our Mass attendance, by our daily prayer, by our acts of faith, hope, and love that draw us deeper into communion with God. Heaven is not something that we’ll only experience after we die; rather, it’s something we can expe-
rience here and now – today. And the seeds of the Kingdom of God begin to bear fruit as it grows within us, as our love for God and our love for our neighbor is deepened and purified, as we learn to walk in the paths of the Saints, as we become more patient, more kind, more understanding, and as we begin to look (spiritually) more and more like God who created us in His own image and likeness. There is a seed that has been planted within YOU – the seed of the kingdom of God. How is it growing within you? How is it bearing fruit in your life? How is your life becoming evidence of God? God bless, Fr. Diehm

Fall in Love – Words of Wisdom for
Spiritual Growth Fall in Love – Attributed to
Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ (1907-1991)
Nothing is more practical
than finding God,
than falling in love
in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination,
will affect everything.
It will decide
what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you do with your evenings,
how you spend your weekends,
what you read, whom you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
Fall in love, stay in love,
and it will decide everything.
Thank you from Father Richard Gaul and
Sister Kay Gaul: We had a wonderful 50th Jubi-lee celebration at the Mass of Thanksgiving and
meal on June 2nd. We extend special thanks to those who attended. We have deep gratitude in our hearts for the ex-cellent choir and other liturgical ministers. We give thanks to our loving God for the community we experienced at Holy Trinity and the entire La Salle Pastorate.
Vacation Bible School: The United Methodist Church of Sher-
rill will not be hosting their Vacation Bible School this summer.
If you are interested in having your child involved in a summer
program you may want to consider the Totus Tuus program that
the La Salle Pastorate is offering from July 29-August 3 at the
Sherrill Parish Center. It is open to students from 1st-12th grade.
You may contact Brian Nilles DRE at 563-581-1885 with ques-
tions or if interested in signing up for the program. Thank you!

Fiscal Year End June 30, 2018: Our pastorate fiscal year end will be on June
30th. The goal for each parish is to have bills
and subsidies paid current so the annual parish financial
reports have accurate information in them. We are deeply
grateful for all the contributions given throughout the fiscal
year to meet these goals. If you were considering a tithing
