Global GAP for Imereti Greenery
• For Imereti Greenery GlobalGAP is a tool to show our clients that we are producing according to the highest standards available.
• Training and education of our staff on this topic makes it easy to work according to these standards every single day of the year.
• To have one certificate that cover our total product chain is a very important step. From purchasing of the seeds till transporting the products to our clients, all processes are analysed and controlled under the GlobalGAP guidelines of safe and responsible agricultural practise.
• In our greenhouse company we strive to be the best in a responsible way. Providing the Georgian people safe vegetables produced according to European standards free of harmful residues.
GlobalGAP - Food Safety
• For us as a greenhouse producer it is important to show our clients that we take our job serious and produce the safest products in the market. Growing vegetables is challenge which require a lot of balances in the greenhouse.
• The climate must be right for the plant else the plant will not grow.
• Nutrients should be in balance else the fruits will not come off.
• Pests should be under control, else the crop will be unhealthy.
• These and many other things are controllable in different ways, with GlobalGAP we can assure that we do this the most safe, the most responsible and the most healthy way to guarantee our customers the highest food safety standard in Georgia.
Global GAP - European standards
• We have our experience from growing vegetables in the Netherlands and selling them all over Europe.
• Different countries with different demands require a common quality certificate to keep it workable for a producer to sell his products in different countries to different clients.
• For a vegetables producer it is impossible to have a quality certificate for each country or each individual client.
• GolabalGAP is the global standard that gives producers the opportunity to work with one standard.
Global GAP - Residue free
• Pest control in vegetable production is a serious topic, in greenhouse production or in open field production pests are always there. It is up to the producer how to cope with this. In our business, we trust the experience and knowledge we build up through the years with Dutch crop protection companies to manage our pests in the greenhouse with the use of beneficial. Good insects that eat bad insects.
• With the GlobalGAP standard we can show that we take our crop protection serious and always do everything in the best interest of a healthy and safe product.
• To work according to the GlobalGAP standard is the first step to a higher quality standard in Georgia that can guarantees the Georgian consumer healthy and safe products for themselves and their children. It is up to the consumer, the retail companies and HoReCa companies to request this standard from their suppliers.
