The Annual Science Fair was held on
March 11th, 14th& 25th. The event was
judged by members of the Science
Department of San Jacinto College.
Each project was judged by two
judges who thoroughly examined all
aspects of the project. Our students
presented professional, creative &
advanced projects that warranted
the praise & admiration of the judg-
es. The fair was a great opportunity
for students to interact with mem-
bers of the Houston scientific com-
munity at large. Thanks are due to Sr.
Maisa Meziou, Sr. Sarah Sharafeldin
& Sr. Fatimah Bhutan for arranging
the event. Congratulations to all our
participants!

Martin Luther King Day March
On January 17th, 2011, a group from Iman Academy SE (IASE) participated in the Martin Luther
King March in downtown Houston. The IASE group included ninth graders, the principal, assis-
tant principal, business manager, BOT president & founders. Our group was part of the greater
Houston Muslims group to support civil rights as one of our core set of beliefs. The march was
from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The IASE group marched carrying a banner “UNITED WE CAN BUILD
A BETTER FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN”. Our group was encouraged greatly by the support and
cheers received from the crowd and other marching groups and organizations. After the
march, the group enjoyed a very nice lunch together.
