OverviewThis is a multidisciplinary radiology course addressing issues in breast, body, cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, neurologic, PET and sonographic imaging. This course will include discussion of the most current techniques in each of these specialized imaging areas, as well as discussion of practice quality improvement initiatives and maintenance of certification.

Target AudienceThis program is designed for the practicing radiologist who may perform a combination of breast, body, cardiopulmo-nary, musculoskeletal, neurologic, PET and sonographic imaging.

Objectives At the completion of this meeting, participants should be able to: • Identify current types of contrast materials and guide-

lines for proper usage in regards to renal function; • Describe an eight-step systematic approach to inter-

pretation of both metabolic and anatomic information contained in a PET/CT study and avoid pitfalls including modality-specific artifacts, normal variants and benign metabolically active disease processes;

• Define specific areas to improve engagement, identify ways for radiologists to get involved and review the role of the Imaging 3.0 initiative as it relates to these objectives;

• Identify the relationship of breast density to breast cancer risk and appropriate breast cancer screening recommendations;

• Integrate knowledge of current diagnostic and treatment guidelines and MRI imaging techniques to improve outcomes in patients with inflammatory arthritis;

• Apply knowledge of injury mechanism and MRI findings to provide accurate imaging interpretations and guide management in athletes with upper-extremity soft tissue injuries;

• Review the application of current OPTN and LI-RADS imaging algorithms for HCC diagnosis;

• Review the acquisition parameters for prostate MRI and interpretation information;

• Identify and discuss the application of new proposed diagnostic ultrasound criteria for non-viable pregnancies in the early first trimester;

• Define options for interventional intra-arterial therapies for acute ischemic stroke;

• Review the USPSTF guidelines for lung cancer screening and discuss the use of low-dose CT for early detection of lung cancer.
