Imagine our city abuzz with the voice of hope in Jesus’ love.

Imagine Christians living in the same housing block, or working in the same offi ce block, coming together to bless our city– the prayer way! When?

7.15 PMThursday13th Nov 2008Good Neighbour Day.

Why 7.15 pm?

Simply because of the awesome promise in 2 Chronicles 7.15: Now My eyes will be

open and My ears

attentive to the

prayers offered in

this place. This follows God’s call in verse 14: If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

In other words, God says that when we humble ourselves before Him, He will throw open the heavens, He will be attentive to our prayers, He will heal our nation inside out, He will empower us to overcome the odds amid the shakings!

Prayerfocus: Blessing Our City

Proverbs 11:11 says: when people who are right with God bless the city, the city fl ourishes. Blessing is a prophetic way of praying. When we bless, we are invoking the goodness of God. We are calling down God’s

gracious power into a situation. We are declaring God’s supernatural solutions in faith. Our prayer of blessing is a breath of fresh air that will

positively impact the atmosphere of our city.

As you fan out to prayerwalk, remember these good rules + guidelines

Prayer Declaration pray in unison

O LORD, to whom will we compare You? Or who is Your equal? There is none like You. You are Singapore’s Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Mighty God and Prince of Peace. We enthrone You Singapore’s Sovereign Lord and Saviour.

Amid the gloom and doom, we declare the truth of Your Word:

From the four corners of the earth, people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling on their faces before Him. God has taken charge; from now on He has the last word. PSALM 22:27-28 THE MESSAGE.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. ISAIAH 60:1-3 NIV

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favour has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory. ISAIAH 61:1-3 NLT

I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you. GENESIS 12:2-3 NLT
