• Fans of heavy music around the globe know Jamey Jasta as the frontman for hardcore heavyweights Hatebreed, as one half of the creative thrust driving sludge metal supergroup Kingdom Of Sorrow, and the mastermind behind hardcore collaboration Icepick.• His new project JASTA is not a solo album. JASTA is a band like Danzig is - both are led by someone who gives his surname to the group. JASTA is Jamey Jasta and Kingdom Of Sorrow members Nick Bellmore and Charlie Bellmore.• The first half of the debut album highlights the sound, which is more melodic, metallic and anthemic than any of Jasta’s previous work.• Jasta features a ton if big name guests on the second half: Randy Blythe and Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), Phil Labonte (All That Remains), Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying), pro skater Mike Vallely and guitar legend Zakk Wylde.

• Universally regarded as one of the most influential and innovative jazz musi-cians and composers of the 20th Century, Miles Davis was at the forefront of the jazz world for decades and was involved in the evolu-tion of bebop, cool jazz, modal jazz and jazz fusion amongst others.• Miles Davis played many times at the Montreux Jazz Festival, especially after his return to performance in the early eighties. This DVD brings together some of the highlights of those Montreux shows stretching back to his first appearance in 1973 and up to his final concert there in July 1991, just a couple of months before his death in September of that year.• Miles Davis is one of the most successful artists in the history of jazz and has a fanatical following. Much of this footage is previously unseen and none has ever been commercially released before.

NOSOUNDA NORTHERN RELIGION OF THINGSSNAPPER / ROCK

• New album from Nosound featuring new interpretations of tracks from throughout the band’s catalogue• Regarded by critics and fans alike as one of the most interesting up and coming alt/art rock bands in Europe, the band have released three critically acclaimed albums.• The Northern Religion Of Things was recorded during the rehearsal process for a special one-off ‘Nosound solo’ gig that Erra performed in London in August 2010.

PPD: $15.98CD: KSCOPE186

One that would definitely feature in my top five would be playing with Queens of The Stone Age. I’m quite the fan boy and it was a real honour to share the stage with them for a few shows earlier this year.

Before I starting playing bass with Calling All Cars, I worked at a recording studio in Melbourne. One day I got a phone call saying I needed to be at the studio ASAP. I arrived to find Nick Cave, Mick Turner and Warren Ellis from the Dirty Three all ready to record a song for a documentary. It was an amazing session. The highlight was walking into the studio whilst Nick Cave was in there by himself, just playing piano and singing.

Being lucky enough to support AC/DC on their Australian Black Ice Tour was something I’ll never forget. It was a huge moment for the band and playing 11 shows in front of 50,000 people was amazing and something you would never get tired of.

A little while back we got the opportunity to support Green Day in NZ . We got the offer a week before the show, so after some extreme passport approvals we made it across the sea and it was well worth it. Green Day couldn’t have been more down to earth and they really looked after us. A definite highlight would have been their drummer Tre Cool setting off a whole bunch of pyro whilst we were playing. It was completely unexpected and scared the fuck out of us but amazing nonetheless.

Playing to a capacity Corner Hotel on our last album tour was killer. Having a wild and loose crowd scream your own songs back at you never gets old. As good as supporting well known bands is, we would take a sold out show of ours every time.

• The much-missed spirit of real rock ‘n’ roll is ready to return in the capable hands of Little Bar-rie.• Nearly four years after their last record, the world’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll-soul-punk-mod-blues band’s new album ‘King Of The Waves’ will be released on June 12 August, 2011, co-produced by the group with their friend, supporter and longtime collabo-rator, the mighty Edwyn Collins.• The trio continue to take the calls of the cream of British rock and pop producers and taste-makers, from Paul Weller and Primal Scream to the Chemical Brothers and Mark Ronson.• ‘King of the Waves’ is an al-bum for anyone who likes the idea of Link Wray meeting The Creation in Detroit with the MC5 and Motown in residence. JACE EVERETTMR GOOD TIMESSHOCK / ROOTS/RETRO

• In 2009 Jace Everett went global. Fast on the heels of season 1 of True Blood (the number one rated HBO smash, featuring Everett’s swampy ‘Bad Things’ as the theme song) Jace put out his biggest record to date in ‘Red Revelations’.• The new album is another twist in the never-a-dull-moment career of a unique artist. Crossing styles and genres not just from song to song, but as a whole, the record is some sort of hybrid beast that distills the craft of Nashville song writing, charges it with the energy and sensibility of rock and roll.• The big news surrounding this new album is that Jace is doing an extensive tour of Australia to coincide: AUGUST Thu 18 Sydney (The Basement), Fri 19 Sydney (Rooty Hill RSL), Sat 20 Katoomba (Gearins), Sun 21 Cronulla (Brass Monkey), Tue 23 Melbourne (Hallam Hotel), Wed 24 Newcastle (Lizottes), Thu 25 Central Coast (Lizottes), Fri 26 & Sat 27 Gympie (Optus Gympie Music Muster)• Extensive local PR, including dedicated tour publicist.

• The band’s latest album, Ma-riachi El Bronx (II), finds them exploring new ground – from collaborating with Grammy-nominated Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles (the first all-female mariachi group in the U.S.) to an even greater emphasis on storytelling craft and emotion in the lyrics. “It still has the naïveté and blind excitement of the first record, but it’s more vulnerable,”• Mariachi El Bronx (II) finds The Bronx on the verge of cel-ebrating their tenth anniversary – a landmark that most likely will lead to some unexpected path yet again. • “Going acoustic and dressing in black charro outfits is prob-ably the punkest move they could have taken; El Bronx negotiate in exactly the same way as The Bronx – they don’t. They fear nothing, explore everything and create from the rawest of emo-tion, making imperfections the very best bits.”—NME
