Image Manipulation

There are two images here, the one on the left is a raw image and the one on the right has been edited in photoshop. The picture was taken within a studion so the lighting was good and the background is easy to detect when cutting the image out.

When in photoshop I used the ‘Polygonal Lasso’ tool to cut out the image from its background, I zoomed in quite a lot so that I could make more nodes along the line making it appear more natural when I cut bits out instead of having long straight lines.

I found the hardest bit to cut was around his hair so I just zoomed in a little more and tried to make the cuts a little more jagged making his hair stay looking natural instead of very smooth and easy to tell it had been edited.
