Changing the needle position

Changing the stitch length

These setting apply only topatterns 01-05. The pre-setposition is "3.5", center position. When you slide the stitch widthadjustment lever to the left, theneedle position will move to theleft. When you slide the stitchwidth adjustment lever to theright, the needle position willmove to the right.

To shorten the stitch length, slide the stitch lengthadjustment lever to the left. Fora longer stitch length, slide thestitch length adjustment lever tothe right.

Generally speaking, the thickerthe fabric, thread and needle, the longer the stitch should be.

Adjusting the stitch width

Adjusting the stitch length

The maximum zigzag stitchwidth for zigzag stitching is"7.0"; however, the width can bereduced on any patterns. Thewidth increases as you slide thestitch width adjustment leverfrom "0.0-7.0".

The density of zigzag stitchesincrease as the setting of stitchlength approaches "0.3".

Neat zigzag stitches are usuallyachieved at "1.0-2.5".

Closed up zigzag stitches(close together) are referred toas a satin stitch.

Use this stitch with knitted, tricotor other stretchy fabrics. Thestitch enables your seam tostretch without breaking thethread.

Good for easy to ravel and knitfabrics. It is good for joiningdurable fabric such as denims.

These stitches can also beused as a decorative top stitch.

Straight stretch stitch is used toadd triple reinforcement tostretch and hardwearing seams.
