Your first language adventure starts hereGet ready to see the world with EF. You’ll learn a new

language while living among native speakers, travelling

to the coolest places and having the time of your life

with your new EF friends from around the world!

At EF the choice is always yours.

[email protected]

Security is our first priority

Our staff takes care of you every step of the way. To ensure our strict quality standards are met, our team receives thorough training. In order to take security and safety to the highest level, we offer comprehensive travel and health insurance through Erika Travel Insurance. We’ll take care of everything, so you can focus on learning a new language and having fun.

Learning is fun at EF

Lessons at EF take the ‘foreign’ out of language learning with our individualized educational environment. We maintain small class sizes, meaning you’ll learn and communicate more, while gaining confidence along the way. With flexibility in a small-group environment, your teacher can focus on your personal learning needs and interests.

Supervised activity programme

A weekly schedule of fun sporting events, diverse activities and exciting excursions are included in the standard activities programme at every EF school. With EF’s Fun and Discovery Packs, you’ll also enjoy supervised EF group excursions to exciting places like Hollywood, London and Cannes - all the famous sights within your host country and sometimes even beyond!

EF teachers make the difference

All EF teachers hold specialist qualifications to teach a language to non-native speakers. They have experience in an international environment and attend regular trainings to maintain their teaching skills. But that’s not why our students rave about them – it’s their dedication, enthusiasm and creativity in the classroom that makes learning a language fun!

Cancellations The Course prices shown with each EF International Language Centre description in this brochure comprise two elements: the Tuition Fee (50 percent) and the Student Services Fee (50 percent), which includes accommodation. The Tuition Fee is fully refundable if you cancel more than 14 days before course start date. Additional refunds will be made from the Student Services Fee as follows:- If you cancel 45 days or more before the start of the course you will receive a full refund, except for the Enrolment Fee, the Courier Fee, the Cancellation Insurance and the Course Deposit. The Course Deposit will be refunded if your visa application is denied- If you cancel less than 45 days prior to

departure, EF will retain 40% of the Student Services and Accommodation (max. $500 for EF International Language Centres in the USA, for all other EF International Language Centres maximum $1000) to cover the cost of pre-paid accommodation and services.- In case the student changes the booking to another destination where fees are lower, the difference in fees between the destinations will not be refunded.

In the event that the World Health organization (WHO), or an international governmental health authority issues a country-specific travel warning or forbids travel, EF students have the right to postpone or re-book travel within a period of 365 days. If students wish to cancel, the above stated cancellation stipulations apply.

WithdrawalsAll withdrawals need to be made in writing to EF. If you wish to withdraw from your course after arrival at the EF International Language Centre, you must inform the EF Programme Director and sign a copy of the course change notification form. This is your proof of your withdrawal, so please keep until you have received your refund. Refunds can only be made by the EF office or representative where the course fees were paid, and EF will process all refunds within 45 days of receipt of written notification.

For all courses in the USA: If an applicant accepted by the institution enters the United States on student visa obtained with a I-20 form issued by the institution and subsequently cancels prior to the start of scheduled classes or never attends class, the institution may retain all the tuition charges for the first 4 weeks of the course, any actual housing costs incurred and a maximum of $500 for non-refundable charges including any application/registration fee, courier fees and travel cancellation insurance if such charges are clearly noted in the enrolment agreement as being non-refundable. If you wish to withdraw from your course after arrival at the EF International Language Centre and before the mid-point of your course, EF will keep all fees for the first 4 weeks of your course, as well as any non-refundable fees. You will receive a full tuition refund for all remaining weeks. If you terminate your course after the mid-point of your course, EF may retain all remaining tuition and student services charges. The course is defined as the entire period of booked study, i.e. it may consist of several terms or semesters, but payment is for a maximum of 12 months.

For all other courses: If you wish to withdraw from your course after arrival at the school, you must give the EF Programme Director at your school at least four (4) weeks advance notice. You will receive a full refund for all remaining weeks after the four-week notice period.

These conditions do not affect your rights as defined by the consumer protection laws in your host country. Note: there is a separate Refund Policy for the Academic Year Abroad and Multi-Language Year Programmes. Students applying for these programmes will be sent an enrolment packet with full information.

Cancellation InsuranceEF Cancellation Insurance is charged at a one-time fee of $65. This premium must be paid at the same time as the Enrolment Fee and is non-refundable. If you are forced to cancel before departure due to illness, or illness in your immediate family, EF will refund the Course Price, irrespective of when notice is received. The insurance premium itself, the Enrolment Fee and the Courier Fee are non-refundable. Note: a doctor’s certificate must be provided with each claim.

Travel InsuranceAll participants travelling to the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are required to have medical and accident insurance. We strongly recommend that students attending any of our other EF International Language Centres, including those in Europe, take similar precautions. We have negotiated favourable premiums and a tailor-made coverage for EF students with an international insurance company expert in travel insurance. The policy protects you against expenses incurred through accident or illness, and provides coverage for loss or theft of baggage and personal effects. It also provides coverage against interruption of your EF course due to illness as well as Liability. The cost of this insurance is $72 for the first two weeks, then $25 for each additional week. If you do not wish to take this policy, please indicate so on the Enrolment Form, and provide us with a copy in English of the alternative insurance policy you have taken out individually.

Re-booking FeeEach time you request a change of course town, course dates, or type of accommodation after your initial enrolment, EF will charge you a re-booking fee of $100 which is payable immediately. (This does not apply to students who are extending their course.)

Late Arrivals and AbsencesIf you arrive late to a course, or are absent during your course, no refund will be granted. Periods of absence may not be made up with free extension of the course. EF will consider, at its discretion, a partial refund in cases where there is evidential proof of exceptional and exten uating circumstances.
