nterior Design can be overwhelming to the budding enthusiast. Your ideas may well come from your monthly design magazine.

Numerous choices may not make your design decisions any easier. We would like to include a few ideas each month to outline a few straight-forward tips. That being there is nothing more versatile than a neutral room or can-

vas if you like, as a backdrop against which to offset an array of colourful accessories for your interiors. 1. Start with basic colours, especially so for larger furniture items. Today’s colour palette overshadows the various hues of cream you may have thought were your only option 2. Overdoing colour can restrict you and this look can soon become dated. 3. Keeping furniture neutral gives you the option to alter smaller accessories. This will also keep your decorating costs to a minimum.

Every main design shop knows the importance of stocking good selections of frills and trim-mings for the home. TV today offers great ad-vice and tips on what not to waste your time on and what are essential buys. A myriad of choices but where to start. I good rule when making your selection of colours is that warm tones or cool shades are best kept together. if you are feeling adventurous a few compli-mentary hues here and there can create a rather avant-garde display you may end up feeling quite proud of. The fundamental clue of course is keeping the background neutral.

Decoration for your home has never been quite so opulent. The home accessory mar-ket has sky rocketed and offers jewels of colour and texture. Rooms will be com-pletely transformed by selecting and ar-ranging bright hues.
