School Nutrition Programs Orientation
New to the School Nutrition Program?
SNP Orientation is for you! This session
will cover a broad overview of the
programs that we offer and the rules and
regulations that are required in order to
participate in the SNP. More detailed
information on specific topics will be
available throughout the conference in
the breakout sessions.
Food Handlers
This train the trainer Food Handlers
training will provide you with the tools
and knowledge to go back to your district
and ensure that all staff are trained to
receive their required food handlers
certificate.
IL Physical Fitness & Data Reporting
The purpose of this session is to orient physical education teachers and administrators on the new Illinois physical fitness assessment and data collection requirements. All students in grades 3 -12 are to be tested at the end of each school year in an effort to meet State Goal 20, where students achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness. This session will detail the overall requirements of the legislation, including protocols and tools for the four required FitnessGram assessments as well as the process for data reporting.
