Annual Business Meeting: 6 pm, Friday, October 8, 2010 Schroeder Hall, Illinois State University, Normal

Workshop: Saturday, October 9, 8:30 am to noon; 1:30 pm to 4:30? (or until we finish)

Sponsored by Archaeological Consultants, Inc. with much cooperation and assistance from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Illinois State University The 2010 Annual Business meeting and Workshop will be held in Room 242, Schroeder Hall, Illinois State University Campus, on October 8th and 9th, 2010. We will gather for the Annual Business meeting at 6 pm on Friday, complete our business, and adjourn to Medici in Uptown Normal (about 4 blocks east of the meeting place), for a reception, with refreshments; please don’t eat a big dinner). The Annual Workshop will be held in Schroeder Hall on the ISU campus from 8:30 to noon and 1:30 until we finish. We will adjourn to Biaggi Restaurant for an awards banquet from 6 pm until. Schroeder Hall is on the Southeast corner of University Street and W. College Avenue. University Street is one block east of the intersection of Main Street and W. College Avenue. Main Street is Business US Highway 51. See the map on page 3. No hotel has been designated as a conference hotel. Normal, and Bloomington, have many reasonably priced places, mostly on Veteran’s Parkway on the east side of town, about a mile from the University. The closest, and most expensive parking, is at Milner Library, less than a block north of Schroeder Hall. Parking will probably be free here on Friday evening, but will not be on Saturday. More reasonable parking is available in two new parking garages in Uptown Normal. One is across Beaufort Street from the new Marriot Hotel on the corner of Beaufort and Fell Streets. The other is on College Avenue, about four blocks east of Schroeder Hall. Free parking is available on city streets around the campus, if you can find it. EARLY REGISTRATION IS ENCOURAGED. We have made arrangements for a reception and banquet with people who want to know how many people will be attending! There will be a $10 fee for registration. Tickets for the awards banquet are available for $20. If you miss the banquet, you will miss an excellent dinner!!
