14,000 Free Images from the French Revolution Now Available Online. A new archive of 14,000 images from the French Revolution, created by Stanford University and the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), contains visual materials that will intrigue scholars as much as history buffs. The images in the archive can be sorted by theme. We can choose to download the image, we like, in a high-resolution format, ranging from small to extra large. It contains the Archives parliamentaires, a series of historical documents that record the political events of the Revolution.

S. Rangsamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode with SALIS. This award was given by Shri R. Srinivasan, Secretary, KSR Institutions.

Dr. Y. Sudharani (Assistant Librarian at Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh) received Andhra Ratnam award (Jewel of Andhra) by Arpita Cultural and Social Organization in Vizag on 11th July 2016.

Obituary Mr. Yogeshwer, son of late Dr. S.R Ranganathan passed away on 11 June 2016 at Luxembourg, Germany.

The 11th International Conference on Webometrics, Informetrics and Scientometrics and 16th COLLNET Meeting was held at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi from 26-28th November, 2015 which was attended by over 300 delegates from 26 countries from Europe, Asia, America, Australia and India. The Conference deliberated on various issues such as Scientometrics, Informetrics, Webometrics, Bibliometrics Data and Impact Management in Information Science. Stalwarts like Grant Lewison, Hildrun Kretschmer, I.K. Ravichandra Rao, Jean-Charles Lamirel, Martin Meyer, Kim H Veltman, and many more presented their papers. Among the highlights of the Conference, was the release of the latest issue (Vol. 9 (2) - December 2015) of "COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management", ISSN 0973-7766, being co-published with Taylor & Francis Group, UK. The journal is a good reference source for researchers and students of Library Science. The Present President of ILA, Prof. Shabahat Husain is founding Editor of the Journal. The Annual International Conference of the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL-2016) will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from 22-26 August 2016. Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries is going to take place from 7-9 December 2016 at University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan. It will be held as a part of an international forum with the Asia-Pacific Forum of Information Schools (AP-IS) to promote exchange and collaboration among information schools in Asia-Pacific from 5-6 December 2016.
