Output 1 (Provincial Level-West Kalimantan)
Sub-national framework on REDD+ is developed in West Kalimantan
PDM (Project Design Matrix) of RoD
Indicators :
1-1. Provincial RL/REL is established.
1-2. Carbon monitoring method is developed. MRV
1-3. Potential REDD+ sites for future investment are identified.
Activities :
1-1) Organize a team that consists of provincial/district governments and
university
1-2) Provide training on remote sensing analysis and sample spot monitoring
1-3) Overview drivers of deforestation and forest degradation
1-4) Collect data on historical/future land use and carbon stock at the district level
1-5) Calculate provincial RL/REL
1-6) Develop a monitoring plan and implement it.
1-7) Identify potential REDD+ sites and compile information for future REDD+
projects.
1-8) Identify areas of strategic cooperation other than RL/REL and carbon
monitoring
1-9) Provide policy and technical assistance for the execution of strategic
cooperation.

Tanjungpura University

khususnya pada sektor berbasis lahan.

2-3) Mengidentifikasi desa target dan membagi informasi mengenai IJ-REDD di desa-desa.
2-4) Rancangan rencana aktivitas REDD+
2-5) Mengembangkan metode RL/REL dan monitoring karbon.
2-6) Melakukan survey dasar keanekaragaman hayati dan penghidupan masyarakat
2-7) Memfasilitasi para pihak untuk membuat kesepakatan mengenai pengaturan pengelolaan
sumberdaya alam
2-8) Melakukan pengamanan/aktivitas saling menguntungkan dalam perbaikan penghidupan,
konservasi keanekaragamn hayati dan manfaat jasa lingkungan
2-9) Mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data perubahan tata guna lahan dan persediaan karbon,
konservasi keanekaragaman hayati dan penghidupan mansyarakat
2-10) Membuat draft manual operasional model REDD+ dengan menganalisa kondisi setempat,
perangkat kebijakan , aktivitas proyek beserta dampaknya.

Capacity of carbon monitoring is enhanced at the provincial level in
Central Kalimantan
Indicators :
Carbon monitoring methods that are applied by REDD+ projects in
Central Kalimantan is compiled by MRV institution.
Activities :
4-1) Assist to organize MRV institution.
4-2) Provide training for MRV institution, local governments and communities to
enhance knowledge and skills on carbon monitoring.
4-3) Assess carbon monitoring methods that are applied/being developed by
REDD+ projects including JICA-JST in terms of accuracy, costs and accessibility.
4-4) Provide technical assistance for MRV institution according to its requirement.

Indicators :

Forestry (MoFor) and other national agencies concerning REDD+.
Activities :
5-1) Examine policies and strategies of MoFor and other agencies concerned
with REDD+.
5-2) Share project findings with MoFor and other agencies concerned with
REDD+.
5-3) Provide policy and technical assistance for MoFor and other agencies
concerned with REDD+.
5-4) Coordinate Japanese assistance in the REDD+/forest sector.
5-5) Communicate with partners for effective implementation of IJ-REDD+.
