Read 1 Kings 19:1-18 in your Bible. When Elijah was discouraged, God reminded Elijah

of His mighty power. But then He spoke gentlyto Elijah in that still, gentle quietness.

1 SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2020 “MAY THE PEOPLES PRAISE YOU” You have called us out of darkest night, into Your glorious light, that we may sing the wonders of the risen Christ. May our every breath retell the grace that broke into our strife with boundless love and deepest joy, with endless life. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. All the earth is Yours and all within each harvest is Your own, and from Your hand we give to You, to make Christ known. May the seeds of mercy grow in us for those who have not heard, may songs of praise build lives of grace to spread Your Word. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. This our holy privilege to declare Your praises and Your name to every nation, tribe and tongue, Your church proclaims. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus. Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, worthy, worthy is the Lamb Who was slain. Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, all creationpraise Your glorious Name. (Chorus) May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus.

2 “BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD ABOVE” Before the throne of God above I have a strong, a perfect plea, a great High Priest whose name is “Love,” who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands, my name is written on His heart, I know that while in heav’n He stands no tongue can bid me thence depart, no tongue can bid me thence depart. When Satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within, upward I look and see Him there who made an end to all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died, my sinful soul is counted free, for God, the Just, is satisfied, to look on Him and pardon me, to look on Him and pardon me. Behold Him there! The risen Lamb, my perfect, spotless Righteousness, the great unchangeable I AM, the King of glory and of grace!

One with Himself I cannot die, my soul is purchased with His blood, my life is hid with Christ on high, with Christ my Savior and my God, with Christ my Savior and my God.

3 “CHRIST IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED” How can it be, the One who died, has borne our sin through sacrifice to conquer every sting of death? Sing, sing hallelujah. For joy awakes as dawning light when Christ’s disciples lift their eyes, alive He stands, their Friend and King! Christ, Christ, He is risen. (Chorus) Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! Oh, sing hallelujah. Join the chorus, sing with the redeemed, Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. Where doubt and darkness once had been, they saw Him and their hearts believed. But blessed are those who have not seen, yet, sing hallelujah. Once bound by fear now bold in faith, they preached the truth and power of grace, and pouring out their lives they gained life, life everlasting. (Chorus) Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! Oh, sing hallelujah. Join the chorus, sing with the redeemed, Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. The Power that raised Him from the grave now works in us to powerfully save. He frees our hearts to live His grace, go tell of His goodness. (Chorus) Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! Oh, sing hallelujah. Join the chorus, sing with the redeemed, Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. (Chorus) Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! Oh, sing hallelujah. Join the chorus, sing with the redeemed, Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. (Bridge) He is risen! He’s alive! He’s alive! Heaven’s gates are open wide! He’s alive! He’s alive! Now in heaven, glorified! He’s alive! He’s alive! Heaven’s gates are open wide! He’s alive! He’s alive! Now in heaven, glorified! He’s alive! He’s alive! Heaven’s gates are open wide! He’s alive! He’s alive! Now in heaven, glorified! He’s alive! He’s alive! He’s alive!

4 “CHRIST THE SURE AND STEADY ANCHOR” Christ the sure and steady anchor in the fury of the storm, when the winds of doubt blow through me and my sails have all been torn, in the suff’ring, in the sorrow, when my sinking hopes are few I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed. Christ the sure and steady anchor while the tempest rages on, when temptation claims the battle and it seems the night has won, deeper still then goes the anchor, though I justly stand accused, I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed. Christ the sure and steady anchor through the floods of unbelief, hopeless somehow, O my soul, now, lift your eyes to Calvary. This my ballast of assurance, see His love forever proved, I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed. Christ the sure and steady anchor as we face the wave of death, when these trials give way to glory, as we draw our final breath, we will cross that great horizon, clouds behind and life secure, and the calm will be the better, for the storms that we endure. Christ the shore of our salvation, ever faithful, ever true, we will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed. “AMAZING GRACE, MY CHAINS ARE GONE” Amazing grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed. (Chorus) My chains are gone, I've been set free. My God my Savior has ransomed me. And like a flood His mercy reigns, unending love, amazing grace. The Lord has promised good to me. His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be, as long as life endures. (Chorus) My chains are gone, I've been set free. My God my Savior has ransomed me. And like a flood His mercy reigns, unending love, amazing grace. (Chorus) My chains are gone, I've been set free. My God my Savior has ransomed me. And like a flood His mercy reigns, unending love, amazing grace. And like a flood His mercy reigns, unending love, amazing grace.

5 OFFERTORY “WHEN TRIALS COME” When trials come, no longer fear, for in the pain our God draws near to fire a faith worth more than gold, and there His faithfulness is told, and there His faithfulness is told. Within the night I know Your peace, the breath of God brings strength to me, and new each morning, mercies flow, as treasures of the darkness grow, as treasures of the darkness grow. I turn to wisdom not my own, for every battle You have known. My confidence will rest in You, Your love endures, Your ways are good, Your love endures, Your ways are good. When I am weary with the cost, I see the triumph of the cross. So in its shadow I shall run, till You complete the work begun, till You complete the work begun. One day all things will be made new, I’ll see the hope You called me to. And in your kingdom paved with gold, I’ll praise Your faithfulness of old, I’ll praise Your faithfulness of old! BENEDICTION “MAY THE PEOPLES PRAISE YOU” May the peoples praise You, let the nations be glad. All Your blessing comes that we may praise, may praise the Name of Jesus.
