U.S. ETHANOL DEMAND HELPED BY HIGH GAS PRICE
• Not likely to see change to Fuel Mandate before election
• No incentive for Obama to change it if he wins
• Romney can’t do anything until January
• High gas prices hurt more than high food prices in U.S.
• Blenders will use ethanol as long as it is cheaper than gas – mandate or no mandate
• Ethanol producers will ‘hang in there’ as long as possible
NO CHANGE FOR U.S. ETHANOL TILL 2013
WILL FEED DEMAND ALSO SLOW IN 2013?

U.S. Wheat Use & Stocks Versus Price
Stocks Food Feed Exports Price
U.S. Has Lots Of Wheat To Spare
CONCLUSIONS CORN:
• TIGHT STOCKS WILL LIMIT DOWNSIDE FOR NOW, BUT DEMAND DESTRUCTION WILL BE THEME OF 2013 • CHINA CORN PRICES, NOT STOCKS, ARE REAL BAROMETER OF CHINESE MARKET • FUND LENGTH IS BIG – WATCH OUT IF THEY EXIT SOYBEANS: • DEMAND MUCH HARDER TO RATION THAN IN CORN, • CHINA HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO BUY FROM U.S. UNTIL 2013 S. AMERICA CROP • POTENTIAL FOR $20/BUSHEL IN U.S. IF CROP SIZE DISAPPOINTS AND CHINA KEEPS BUYING
WHEAT: • LOTS AVAILABLE IN U.S. BUT EXPORTS & FEED DEMAND WILL GROW
