The following business was transacted

Ordered that the Audit Report for Clerk of Superior Court

for the fiscal year beginning Dec 1 1947 and ending Nov 30 194 as prepared

by S Preston Douglas Certified Public Accountant be accepted

Ordered that S Preston Douglas Certified Public Account

ant be awarded contract for Clerk of Superior Court for audit for the Year be

ginning Dec 1 194 and ending Nov 30 1949 at the rate of 17 50 per day for

the services of each Accountant engaged in the work

Ordered that the 1948 tax listed in the name of Railway

Express Agency corporation be cancelled and tax collector be granted refund as

this was double listed

Ordered that J H Moore Bladen County Inmate be allowed

to remain at Columbus County Home temporarily at the rate of 50 06 per month

IIOrdered that the Chairman and Clerk be authorized to signcheck to transfer Revolving Fund to the General County Fund

IWHEREAS the attached petiti on ha s been filed with the Board of County Comlnission

ers of the county of Columbus requesting that the above described road the locationof which has been indicated in red on the att ached map be added to the system ofcounty roads now maintained by the State Hignway and Public Works Commission and

WHEREAS the Board of County Com aissi oners after careful investigation deems theproposed addition of said road to the County Road System and its maintenance by theState Highway and Public Works Commissi on necessary to adequately serve the citizensof said county

NOW THEREFORE the State High ojay and Public Works Commission is requested to takesaid road over for maintenance and the addition said road and revisions in locatiodeemed necessary by the State Highway and Public Works Commission are hereby approve
