IHC Beaver® GD500 Self-propelled grab dredger PU D4-7 The IHC Beaver® GD500 self-propelled grab dredger is a compact dredger that has been designed to perform small scale (mechanical) dredging jobs. IHC grab dredgers are renowned for their durability, reliability and performance. The IHC self-propelled grab dredger can be transported by road. It is provided with a heavy duty hydraulically operated grab, that can dredge e.g. sand and silt. It can also dredge stones and debris, which cannot be dredged by hydraulic dredgers. Royal IHC has a vast experience in designing and manufacturing of self- propelled grab dredgers. The IHC self-propelled grab dredger is available for immediate delivery and every dredger is tested thoroughly before delivery. The IHC self-propelled grab dredger is propelled by a single marine-type turbocharged and aſtercooled diesel engine, which drives a fixed pitch propeller through a reducon gearbox. The engine and gearbox are flexibly mounted and connected to the propulsion shaſt by a homokinec coupling and thrust bearing. The environmentally friendly water-cooled/lubricated propeller shaſt system delivers a high level of operaonal safety and maneuverability. Due to the flexible mounng of the engine and wheelhouse, the operang noise inside the wheelhouse is very low. The wheelhouse is placed portside aſt, and like the hull, is a welded steel construcon. The IHC Beaver® GD500 self-propelled grab dredger is a compact dredger that has been designed to perform small scale (mechanical) dredging jobs.

Royal IHC has a vast experience in designing and manufacturing of self-propelled grab dredgers. The IHC self-propelled grab dredger is available for immediate delivery and every dredger is tested thoroughly before delivery.

The IHC self-propelled grab dredger is propelled by a single marine-type turbocharged and aftercooled diesel engine, which drives a fixed pitch propeller through a reduction gearbox. The engine and gearbox are flexibly mounted and connected to the propulsion shaft by a homokinetic coupling and thrust bearing.

The environmentally friendly water-cooled/lubricated propeller shaft systemdelivers a high level of operational safety and maneuverability. Due to theflexible mounting of the engine and wheelhouse, the operating noise inside the wheelhouse is very low.

The wheelhouse is placed portside aft, and like the hull, is a welded steel construction. The top of the wheelhouse can also be dismantled easily to reduce the height of the grab dredger for transportation.

The hull is divided into three watertight compartments: aft peak; engine room;and fore peak. The engine cooling water system is closed with an inboard boxcooler. The underwater body and arrangement of the propeller allow the vesselto rest on a flat surface.
