1. The University has made arrangements for Spot Sale of its study material at Headquarters

from Monday to Friday from 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. at Marketing Cell, Room No. 13,Warehouse Block, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110 068. The mode of payment for spotpurchase of IGNOU publications is through Bank/Demand Draft drawn in favour of “IGNOU,

NEW DELHI”.

2. Purchase order for IGNOU study material can also be placed on IGNOU, on receipt of

which a Proforma Invoice indicating the course details, price, quantity etc, is sent againstwhich the advance payment is to be made through Bank/Demand Draft drawn in favourof “IGNOU, NEW DELHI”.

3. While placing an order, each course title, course code, the price and the required quantityshould invariably be mentioned by the intending buyer.

4. The University offers 25% Institutional Discount to Educational Institutions/University

established by the Central/State/Local Governments for their Libraries. Requests fromInstitutions on their letter heads are to be forwarded for availing discounts. The quantityfor this purpose is restricted to one or two sets each course. For bulk purchases of Study

Material the concerned institution/Universiy is require to enter into an agreement withIGNOU for bulk purchases.

5. The University also offers 25% Commission to its authorised Retail Agents for selling

The Division synchronizes in itself, functions like production, printing,storage and despatch of course material to students and also its sale toUniversities/Institutions and individual buyers. The operations of theDivision have since been computerised resulting in operational efficiency.

MARKETING CELL of MPDD is involved in:

l Sale of IGNOU study material to general public especially throughSPOT SALE at Headquarters.

l Appointing Retail Agents thereby enlarging the market further for saleof study material.

l Participation in BOOK FAIRS & EXHIBITIONS by prominently displayingthe material and undertaking sales thereof.

Our customers are general public, retail agents and the institutional buyers.We obtain from them their anticipated requirements and sell the materialby accepting payment in advance through Bank Draft drawn in favourof IGNOU, NEW DELHI.

Our price list indicates Item Code, Title, Blocks and Price (Medium ofinstruction-wise). All our courses are fragmented into Blocks (Booklets insingle binding) for convenient reading. Each Block has in it a number ofunits (sections) on the subject. A course may have blocks varying from 2to 14.
