What apps are on your child’s phone? What social media are they using? What age should a child have a smart phone? Digital technology is an excellent tool to make and enhance social relationships, however, it can also expose our children to risk.
We are excited to have Clayton Cranford, cyber safety expert and law enforcement professional, to help us navigate this very important subject. He created the Cyber Safety Cop website and authored, Parenting in the Digital World. He teaches parents and students how to avoid the inherent risks of social media and other web-based platforms by knowing the danger signs and using safe practices.
Clay Cranford will discuss:
• Current impact of bulling in schools • Current apps kids are using and what you need to know
about them • Risks associated with popular social media sites • Sexting and online predators • How to set expectations and consequences • How to monitor online activity and find secret Instagram
accounts • How to talk to your child about pornography • Parental controls and privacy settings

“Few Good Man and Women needed” St. Vincent de Paul Adult Choir is inviting all who enjoy music, singing and fellowship to join in the fun!. The choir is a friendly group that prays together, rehearses on Tuesday evenings (7:15 to 9:00 PM in the church) and sings on Sundays at the 10 AM Mass. Come and learn more about your hidden talents, body posture, general health and ability to produce resonant sound. Training will be provided.

ADULT CONFIRMATION/COMMUNION Adults who would like to complete their Sacraments of Initiation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion are invited to register now for preparation sessions that will begin in the Fall of 2019. These preparation sessions emphasize the basics of Catholic teaching respecting the adult audience’s many concerns, questions and responsibilities. Some of the topics include the Trinity, sacraments, prayer, and morality. Register online today by scanning the QR code and completing the registration form. The Prayer Shawl Ministry…. is focused with providing a welcome to our families of the newly baptized infants. You are invited to support the ministry by purchasing 3-4 skeins of baby soft yarn or donate money to help purchase the yarn. The yarn will be used to make baby blankets. All monetary donations need to be addressed
to: Parish Life/Prayer Shawl Ministry. May God reward you for your generosity! All crocheters and knitters welcome to join this wonderful ministry that meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturday from 12:30 -2:30 PM in Room 3.

POSTURES FOR THE MASS After Communion After you have received Holy Communion and returned to your place in the pew, you may kneel or sit for moments of adoration and meditation. Close your eyes. Spend time in silence with Jesus or join in the Communion Hymn. While the Priest is purifying the Sacred Vessels on the Altar, do not be distracted, but use this time for quiet prayer.
