I told you to come but you did not believe.” This little story speaks volumes on believing. Actions that lead to increase are often taken on the premise of belief. Jesus quarried Martha in John 11:40, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” The issue is not weather God will see you through; the issue is if you will believe God enough for your breakthrough. Good things will often pass by without notice to such people. People do short - change themselves when they believe not God who freely gives humanity good things to enjoy. And why would you labour for what you know you may never acquire, while God, who is standing by with outstretched hands full of blessings is still waiting for you to believe Him? Does it ever come to your mind why in John 3:18 Jesus said, “He that believeth on Him is not condemned…” again in John 3:36, He said, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life…” Condemnation and everlasting life are two parallels that can NEVER meet. What Jesus was telling us here is that your belief on the Son of God will NEVER lead you to anything or anyplace that the outcome is condemnation. If you believe in the Son of God, you should not be afraid of anything because the Holy Spirit is there with you to lead you into all truth. If you believe on the Son of God, He will make your mountains to become low and your valleys will become a plain ground. He will change your difficulties into things that are fun to you. While people are afraid to venture, you will go in with ease because your anchor holds fast upon the Son of God, with whom your belief is solidified. If you believe on the Son, you shall never be disappointed and your life will be transformed into a life of Joyful Living experience. Amen? DAILY NUGGETS FOR JOYFUL LIVING

Thursday, January 29, 2015

“Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 KJV

…IF YOU CAN BELIEVE

It is so painful when you find out the things that never came true in your life because you didn't believe; miracles

that passed you by because you doubted their possibilities; provisions that would have been yours if only you had believed

God. In 1967, my family took me to a remote village in the south eastern state of Nigeria as the civil war was gathering

momentum. We were there as refugees of the civil war. One day, a neighbor of ours, a fellow refugee, told us that the Red

Cross was coming to give all the children in the refugee camp some clothes. I told my mother about it but she did not

believe it. I followed her leaning and also believed not in what the boy told us. Many people too did not believe that there

are people in this world who would come from nowhere to lavish their goodwill on people that they did not know, even when

they are refugees. My neighbor went but I stayed back in the camp. Two days after, I saw this neighbor of mine with a

new pair of pants and a new shirt. He also had a new pair of shoes. “How did your parent get the money to buy you such

beautiful attires”, I asked him. “These must be very expensive”, I continued. “My parents did not buy them for me as they

do not have the resources to buy them”, he said to me. “I was given these new stuffs by the Red Cross people. I told you

to come but you did not believe.” This little story speaks volumes on believing. Actions that lead to increase are often

taken on the premise of belief. It is so true that all things are possible to those that believe. If you believe God for your

breakthrough, then, don’t shift your position; stand on that belief. Yours will come through.

Jesus quarried Martha in John 11:40, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” The issue is

not weather God will see you through; the issue is if you will believe God enough for your breakthrough. God is ever ready

to bless. Not believing God for sustenance is a negative believe with a strong grip that often leaves its culprits bound and

blind to the realities of God’s goodness. Good things will often pass by without notice to such people. People do short-

change themselves when they believe not God who freely gives humanity good things to enjoy. And why would you labour

for what you know you may never acquire, while God, who is standing by with outstretched hands full of blessings is still

waiting for you to believe Him? Does it ever come to your mind why in John 3:18 Jesus said, “He that believeth on Him is

not condemned…” again in John 3:36, He said, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life…” Condemnation and

everlasting life are two parallels that can NEVER meet. What Jesus was telling us here is that your belief on the Son of

God will NEVER lead you to anything or anyplace that the outcome is condemnation. If you believe in the Son of God, you

should not be afraid of anything because the Holy Spirit is there with you to lead you into all truth. If you believe on the

Son of God, He will make your mountains to become low and your valleys will become a plain ground. He will change your

difficulties into things that are fun to you. While people are afraid to venture, you will go in with ease because your

anchor holds fast upon the Son of God, with whom your belief is solidified. If you believe on the Son, you shall never be

disappointed and your life will be transformed into a life of Joyful Living experience. Amen?
