Q: What is your

favorite pastime?

A: My one and only

hobby is working in

this reputed college

from morning 9 am

to evening 9 pm.

Apart from that

I have immense

involvement in

spiritual belief where I usually worship God.

Q: What are your Philosophies in life?

A: ‘According to me honesty and persever-

ance are two ways through which we can

achieve our goal. In our daily life we follow

Gandhiji’s way of honesty, truth and non-vio-

lence de�nitely appreciations, success and

self-satisfaction will come’. He further

quoted one of the greatest sages Thiruvallu-

var, who belonged to the 1st century BC of

Sangam Tamizh age stated “whatever we do

if we make sure that it will be bene�tted for

our society and people around us, de�nitely

it will be appreciated by everyone’’

Q: Is it true that you have known late Dr.

A.P.J Abdul Kalam from your college days?

A: Yes, he was my super senior in the college

where I studied.

Q: What do you have to say about him?

A: He was known for his simplicity. He was a

person who kept saying that country’s future

is in the hands of youth and he insisted

everyone to dream where the dream should

not make you sleep but to work hard for our

nation.

Q: What are your aspirations for this

institution?

A: I worked hard, in fact I shed my blood for

the growth of this institution for the past 3 ½

years. My goal is that our great institution

must be one of the top 10 colleges of Banga-

lore University by 2020.

Q: What is the signi�cance of your attire?

A: 30 years back, I had a dream to wear safari

suit but during those days it was beyond my

reach. After working hard for 20 years I have

ful�lled my dream.

Q: What do you want to do after your retire-

ment?

A: My current age is 66. I already crossed my

age of retirement in fact I have worked 8

years after my retirement age. The manage-

ment of this institution is so nice that they

want me to continue working here endlessly.

I think this will be my last place to work and

this is a great honor to one. I won’t prefer to

work after leaving IFIM. My later part of life

will be on spiritual.

Q: Any message for the students?

A: Dear students, you must feel proud that

you are studying in IFIM College. This college

provides you good infrastructure, experi-

enced teachers and good academic activi-

ties. What else do you require to achieve? Do

shape your future it is an opportunity given

by God.

we try to do assignments through grouped

deliberations. Good insights and resolutions

�ow easily when you are surrounded by

students from so many di�erent places, so we

get a well-rounded perspective to everything.

This helps during professional life while work-

of a student. Faculties send the

B. Hari Raghava of the department of BBM was memorialized with an internship at Urban Clap Technologies India Private Ltd from 7th December 2015- 6th January 2016.

14th December 2015 was the entry of Ms. Reena Chopra for the Department of Management and Ms. Pooja Basnett of the Department of Journalism had vibrantly invaded the process of a successful scrutiny of the Panel Board of the Interview Committee to join hands to strengthen IFIM College in all spheres to add values to the younger generation.

The management association club was inaugurated by Dr. Sukanya Hegde, Director and Principal of NIMS College. The speaker inspired

the audience with her dynamic and powerful speech. She spoke on the impact of a good communication skill and leadership qualities.

The President of the club gave a speech on the planned activities, discussions, guest lectures etc.

PROGRAMMES BY PEP

Dr. D. M. DeshpandePrincipal - IFIM College

Dr. Deshpande published an article in “The Nav Hind Times” on 18th November 2015.

Placement is planning to conduct, mock interviews, mock GDP’s and mock tips for theshortlisted students for the corporates and also �ne tune the nerves of the expectations of thecorporates through PDP’s by PEP’s.

The much awaited college fest AURA 2016- ‘license to entertain’ was held on 29th & 30th of February. The fest got a great response from all other colleges and students. The event also witnessed

personalities like Mr. Riaz Basha, a renowned multi-lingual MC, Also Bangalore’s known singer Mr Rinosh George and the talented rapper Mr Karthik Gubbi who entertained all.

A training session for three days was conducted by M/s Exigo Knowledge Venture for faculties. The D2L Bright-space LMS faculty training was conducted in two batches on 16th,17th & 18th of November. It was also to be scheduled for December.

Diwali the festival of lights was celebrated in the institute on Monday 9th of November with traditional decora-tion. Pooja was o�ered to the god’s and a special lunch was organized for faculties. Also, wearing of ethnic out�t was a part of the celebration.

The faculties of IFIM Institutions had taken a step to help the needy in the drought and disaster prone areas. They took initiative to help the organization Action Aid India by contributing their one month’s salary for the people of Tamil Nadu who were a�ected by �ood. They collected a lump sum amount from all and it was handed over to the organization on 29th of December 2015.

On 27th November 2015 hostel day was celebrated. A number of activities and games were hosted for the students and the faculty members. The Programme was scheduled in a grand manner with excitement and fun for all.
