C I SThe industrial services division of CIFAL was created in Kazakhstan in 2004 to support its partners in the execution of projects won with CIFAL’s assistance.
CIS is now a technical and industrial services division which covers all countries in the Russia/Central Asia/Caspian Sea area, with operational headquarters in Dubai (CIFAL FZCO).
CIS works with companies willing to engage a local service provider working at European standards. Carried out by subsidiaries registered under local laws, these activities are providing the “local content” part required by the authorities of each country.
These activities are managed by CIFAL FZCO from its base in Dubai (Jebel Ali Free Zone), while contracts may be handled by local subsidiaries of CIS to facilitate administrative procedures in relation to imports.
CIS offers and distributes industrial products and accessories to its clients within the oil & gas, mining and energy market.
The core activities are Recruitment, Staff Leasing and Payroll Services. We provide our services to various indus-tries including oil & gas, automobile, infrastructure, civil works, telecommunication…CIS operates in Russia through a joint venture with ASSYSTEM (France), one of the largest European engineering groups and in Central Asia using its own network of subsidiaries.
CIS performs design and construction activities in Central Asia. The Turkmenistan branch of CIS has recently completed the design and construction of two satellite ground control centres and is now developing its civil works activities in the oil & gas industry.
CIS participates in the preparation of commercial offers for CIFAL's main clients. Aim is to identify the most suitable local partners for their projects, and to provide support in the negotiation of the various subcontracts.
Main objectives are cost optimization and adherence to “local content” requirements.
In Russia, CIS assists its clients in obtaining quality assurance certificates and equipment safety permits within the framework of R-GOST.
In Kazakhstan, CIFAL KAZAKHSTAN administers all licenses required for importing equipment (K-GOST). It also handles specific permits for metrological equipment (KazInMetr), as well as Permits to Use whenever required for commissioning purposes.
CIS provides logistical support for its clients during the commercial development phase as well as during the execution stage of their projects.
This support includes organising trips for delegations, trainings, long-term missions of project staff (interpreters, accommodation, transport, work permits, local contracts for expatriates, ...) and participation in exhibitions.
Our translation department is handling very substantial volumes of technical translations (over 100,000 pages per year), and targets large industrial projects requiring very stringent coordination and quality/consistency of the end product.
CIS also manages a network of highly skilled interpreters (RU-EN and RU-FR), who are available for short or long term missions, whether in-country or abroad.
