Late Summer Set LunchThroughout September pop in for lunch in the Restaurant or Bistro where we’ll be offering a set price lunch featuring the best local and seasonal ingredients.
Two courses: £15 Three courses: £20
Thursday, 15th October
Tastes of Autumn Another in a series of evenings when our Head Chef Claire Nicholls creates a special three-course dinner serving the best of seasonal Herefordshire food.
Three-course dinner: £30 per person including a glass of chilled champagne on arrival.
Thursday, 22nd October
An Evening with Sir Roy StrongThe highly-respected historian and commentator joins us for an fascinating evening. With his characteristic good humour and candour Sir Roy will be showing photographs of and talking about his beautiful Herefordshire garden ‘The Laskett’ and why he decided to transform parts of it. Signed copies of his books will be available to buy.
Time: 7 for 7.30pm Three-course dinner: £40 including wines
Thursday, 5th November
Fireworks and BarbecueWrap up warm and come and enjoy a hearty Bonfire Night barbecue with mulled wine and watch the fireworks over the Castle moat. Children especially welcome.
Time: 6pm Barbecue supper and fireworks: £15; Children £7.50

Game OnThis year our Head Chef Claire Nicholls teams up with Shaun Hill, the much-acclaimed chef of The Walnut Tree, Abergavenny, to create a delicious four-course seasonal game
dinner with matching wines selected by Tanners Wine Merchants.
Time: 7 for 7.30pmFour-course dinner: £50 including wines
Saturday, 14th to Friday 20th November
National Game WeekThroughout the week, we’ll be adding seasonal game dishes to our usual menu with a 10% accommodation discount for BASC members when they eat dinner with us.

Christmas Wreath-Making LunchAfter her sell-out ‘Flower Power’ demonstration in May, Debbie Coplans of Hibiscus returns by popular demand to show how to make a long-lasting, eye-catching Christmas wreath to take home for a dining table or door. Debbie’s wreath will be raffled with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Haven.
Time: 11.00am until 3pm Wreath, Coffee and Lunch: £50
Tuesday, 15th December
Christmas Shopping EveningWrap up your gift shopping with a festive evening at Castle House featuring stalls selling present ideas for everyone. Clothes and accessories, ideas for gifts for men, cards and stationery, toys, jewellery and much more… Enjoy a glass of mulled wine while you shop, order your supper and we will call you when it’s ready.

Christmastime at Castle HouseFrom Tuesday, 1st December
Christmas Lunch and DinnerRight up until Christmas Day we’ll be featuring a traditional Christmas lunch and dinner menu with all the trimmings. Come with friends for a superb celebration in our three rosette restaurant or Bistro.
