PRAO 2018
As a result of new guidelines issued by Skolverket this year. Students now have to do more PRAO days than in previous years. As a result of this Grade 9 will now do another PRAO, this will be during Week 46.
On Friday 14th September 2018, the school will be closed to all students. This is for a Review day for staff, to ensure we can communicate about the new classes and put in any measures that need to happen effectively. On this day, we are encouraging students to have a PRAO day, to spend a day at a family member or family friends workplace, and see what it is like during a day at their work.

NEWS
Last week I sent out further details and information about PRAO for Grade 9 during week 46. Please keep reminding your child about this as often as possible. It will make everyone's life much easier if they manage to finalise their placements sooner rather than later.
This week at IES we celebrate Umeå Pride week. There will be reminders around the school of how valued and accepted everyone in the LGBTIQ community is. We have many gender and sexually diverse students at IES and want them all to know they are treated equally. We are a school that reflects society.
REMINDER: PTA LOPPISAs part of the Grade 9’s effort to raise money for their prom, they will be having a stand at this years IES Loppis on October 20th. If you
have any unwanted items that you wish to sell please bring them into school.

study time for year 6-9. Everyone who wants to sing and participate in both

PTA (föräldrarådet på IES) anordnar loppis på skolan så ta tillfället i akt och samla ihop saker som du inte längre använder och sälj på vår loppis:leksaker, kläder, skor, böcker, filmer, sportutrustning, skidor, skridskor, pulkor mm.Vi håller till inne i skolan, men har man lite större föremål finns möjlighet att även stå på skolgården.Från kl 8.00 kommer du ha tid att ställa i ordning ditt/dina bord.
TEXTILESWe are working with recycled fabric in
Textiles and we would love to give new life to fabrics you don't need in your home! If you have any textiles to donate (could be curtains, tablecloths, other fabric) please
send them with your child as soon as possible or leave them at Reception. Any Questions please speak to Ms Fahlander.
