‘Energy systems in Geo-biology’

IEI Kuwait Chapter conducts first seminar for 2017-18KUWAIT CITY, June 7: IEI Kuwait Chapter conducted its first seminar for the current year 2017-18 at Kohinoor Restaurant, Fahaheel on May 24, 2017 for all the engineers in Kuwait. Even though the climate was not conducive the Engineers turned out in large numbers to attend the seminar as a part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme of the Chapter.

The chairman of the chapter Egr. Ajay Sharma welcomed the members to the function and invited the master of ceremony Egr Sam Ananth to intro-duce the speakers.

The topic of the seminar was “En-ergy systems in Geo-biology” which was delivered in two parts: part one by Egr Sundararajan the former chair-man for the chapter and the former head of the electrical department of Pan Arab Consultants in Kuwait. The second part of the seminar was presented by Egr. Ravi Shankar who was the former Executive Committee member of the chapter.

From time immemorial people have understood that the structures and forms created by the humans should be in harmony with the laws of the greater creation that live not in time but outgrown time and live in eter-nity like the Pyramids of Egypt, Taj Mahal in India, Church of Lourdes in France … etc. The balance of forces or harmony of various energies in a space or building is the fundamental of all architecture. Geobiology is the study of the effects of bio — elec-tromagnetic — radiations emitted by various sources including Earth, the Sun, the Moon and the Environment. The sick building syndrome which is recognised by WHO (World Health Organisation) points to the fact that illness can be due to working or stay-ing in sick building caused by geopa-thic stresses resulting in the imbalance in the energy field. The members enjoyed the presentation which was followed by a lively question and answer session.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the General Secretary of the Chapter Egr Thomas John. He highlighted the activities which are to come during the year including the AMIE examina-tions which are conducted regularly by the chapter for the diploma hold-ers to achieve the equivalent of the bachelor’s degree in Engineering. The summer exams are to begin by June 3, 2017. Egr Thomas John also informed the members of the Ladies wing workshop to be conducted by Egr Nasreen on June 3.

The seminar ended with a sumptu-ous dinner and the members looking forward to the next seminar.

KUWAIT CITY, June 7: “Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come.” The future will either be green or not exist at all. How’s that? The truth lies at the heart of humankind’s most pressing challenge, namely, to learn to live in harmony with Mother Earth on a gen-uinely viable basis. Working towards this noble cause, students and staff of ICSK, under the aegis of school’s Nature Club on the premises of the school had planted large number of saplings of different species over the

barren patches of the school campus. The saplings were planted by the students in the periphery of the school and in the ground adjacent to the school. Students worked in the mud, digged holes, planted saplings, and in general, connected with Mother Earth and formed a new bond with her.

The Indian Community School (Senior) Kuwait fraternity witnessed an extraordinary assembly on May 25th 2017. It was an inspiring event when the nature club of the school harvested varieties of vegetables which were cultivated by the vibrant members of Nature club. Irrefutably, this gave an impetus to the student community of the magnitude of con-suming organic food that is free from chemicals.

The vivacious students and enthusi-astic staff of the school came forward with zest to participate in the auction to acquire the fresh produce gathered from ICSK garden. Dr V. Binumon — the Principal, ICSK Senior — expressed his eagerness to expand the club for the new academic year and also appreciated the incredible effort of the members of Nature Club headed by Mrs Indira Radhakrishnan and Mrs Geethakumari. The whole amount collected from the auction was contributed to charity to fund cancer patients residing in Kuwait.
