vTools - Voting

Electronic Elections for Sections, Chapters, and Affinity Groups– Support all units for 2010 elections– Piloted in 2007 & 2008 using a vendor– Internal development done to provide

customized tool and be cost effective– Piloted in 2009 and went into production in

Spring of 2010

Page 16: IEEE Update

vTools - Voting

Easy to use Election Process– Wizard-like interface for ballot creation– Available on demand– Accessible via browser - no installation is

required.– No webmaster involvement needed– Uses SAMIEEE to get voter list– Does not reach off-line members – Tutorial availablehttp://voting.vtools.ieee.org

Page 17: IEEE Update

vTools - Meetings

• L31 Meeting reporting (new in 2010)– Replaces former on-line form

• Meeting Scheduling– Feeds meeting information into your web

site (including Webinabox) and myIEEE– Simplifies L31 - only need to add

attendance numbers

• On-line meeting attendee registration– Credit card payments for meeting fees

(pilot, Sections only, need to apply)– Requires Concentration Bank account
