IEEE Sections Congress to be held August 22- 24 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands The theme is “Inspiring Our Leaders of Tomorrow” Over 1,000 expected to be in attendance, including Section Delegates from around the world Provides the opportunity for volunteers to network, make connections and become educated on IEEE programs and services – Resulting in more effective and motivated volunteer leaders at the
local level

SELECTION/ COMMUNICATIONS
• Two – three per region- Well suited for Young Professionals • Open call for nominations with endorsement from Region Director/ Section chair/ • Communicate via Scoop – eNotice – Email to RDs, RDs Elect/Region Coordinators,, YP Committee
CRITERIA/ REQUIREMENTS Each candidate must meet 4+ Candidate must be willing to commit 4-8 hours a month
•Candidate has LESS than 2 years experience as volunteer •Candidate has NOT held position of section chair •Candidate has volunteered to organize a key event of the section, chapter, SB or AG •Candidate has served or interacted with a chapter or society •Candidate has served or interacted with an Affinity Group •Candidate must be willing to commit 4-8 hours a month •Candidate has volunteered for other organizations outside IEEE •Candidate has mentored, coached or offered tutoring to other IEEE members, students, or others outside IEEE •Candidate has been the recipient of an IEEE award •Candidate has organized a professional activity
CONTENT • IEEE foundational Sessions: All OUs + 2 live sessions: IEEE Bylaws, MGA Ops Manual + 1 Comm. Skills session • Pre-Set Schedule published in advance
DELIVERY • Weekly sessions - Reuse 2013 Pilot IEEE sessions (materials and recordings) • Live Q&A (last 15 min) via WebEx • Evaluate virtual collaborative tools (Google Handout, Google Group, WiKi)
PROJECT ASSIGNMENT
• Teams based. Considering: • Implement 1 recommendation from 2013 Pilot • Develop individual career path in IEEE • Each Region submits 2 projects to work on • Initiative where each team has portion of project

• Point System - will include attendance, quizzes, survey responses and project participation • Issue Letter to candidates’ employers
