Staff who are trained in Wave 1 and beyond will

not be able to access the IEDSS system until

deployment.

If the icon is on their desktop, it will not be

activated until deployment.

If the training IEDSS icon is also present, participants

should not access outside of formal classroom training.

Staff should be encouraged to review pre-requisites, try me’s

and other IEDSS training material in LMS to enhance

their classroom learning.

Though IEDSS is not accessible until deployment, these

materials will still be available on LMS.

Keep this in Mind…

Ask…Ask…Ask…if there’s something you want to know more about!

Conversion Mismatch and Adding SSCNUsing the Individual SSCN page in IEDSS

If you have someone in a case who is receiving SSI/SSA payments and/or Medicare, you have to add the SSCN number to the case (formerly known as the Can BIC in ICES). Once this information is added with the payment and Medicare information, the MA J is formed. If the case is missing the Medicare claim number and the monthly SSA payment, the MA J will not pass on the case.

Please note, you can access the Individual SSCNs page in the Individual Information sub-module within Data Collection.

Please refer to the “SSCN Added to Case” video demo which will be shared via email after this call.

The Latest on Benefit Recovery Straight from IEDSS IEDSS contains a variety of updated tools and processes that make your job in the BV Unit more efficient!

Key IEDSS Modules for Benefit Recovery

• Benefit Recovery module for tracking BV referrals.• IPV Investigations module for tracking fraud

investigations. • Fair Hearing module for tracking ADH appeals,

eligibility appeals, and claim appeal. • Benefit Issuance module for researching benefits

issued to the client.• Data Collection module for researching case

information.

Did You Know? Referrals that are submitted by you (BV workers) can potentially result in a notification informing you of a pending claim that is open on the same case. The following message will appear at the top of the Referral Details page in that situation: “Referral has been submitted successfully. Please note that there is a pending claim on same case, which is being worked upon by (name of worker). Please contact your supervisor.” In this situation, you would contact your supervisor. BV supervisors will use this information to determine who will work the pending claim tasks on that case.

Do you suspect fraud?

In a situation where you are notified of suspected fraud, you would create a Suspected Fraud Referral task using the Task Management module and navigating to the Create Task page. Once you have created the task and if you need to inform the eligibility worker of a possible change to a case, you can create an Information Received from Benefit Recovery task to notify eligibility of case changes.
