FAQs on Rules

•Can members of a participating team come from different universities? Members of a participating team must come from the same university.

•Can one participant join 2 different teams? No, one participant is allowed to join only one team.

•Are participating teams allowed to change team members during the competition? Participating teams are not allowed to change their composition during the Competition. In certain occasions where a change is completely unavoidable, it must be approved by the Unilever U.S. Organizing Team.

•Can participating teams have academic mentors? Each participating team may have an academic mentor, who is a university professor or teacher, to give advice during the team participation. The Top 3 chosen to visit the Unilever U.S. headquarters at New Jersey can be accompanied by their academic mentors. However, the mentors will not be allowed to present or answer questions on behalf of the participating teams.

•Which language will participating teams use to present during the Competition? Participating teams are required to use English in their video submission, as well as the final presentation.

•How do we submit our video? Participating Teams can upload the team’s clip on Youtube and send the link to Unilever U.S Organizing Team at: [email protected]. Only one clip is submitted per team.

•How can we get informed of Top 3 Teams? The Top 3 teams will be directly contacted and invited for National Finals .

•What happens at National Finals? The Top 3 teams invited to U.S Finals will receive Business coaching & mentoring at Unilever NA Headquarters at New Jersey, as well as present to Unilever Senior Leadership Team and President of Unilever North America. •When and where will the Global Round of Unilever Future Leaders’ League be held (UFLL)? 1. Contest Period: UniGAME 2014 (the “Contest”) begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on December 30, 2013 and ends at 12:00 p.m. ET on January 27th, 2014 (the “Contest Pe riod”).

2. How To Enter: During the Contest Period, upload your video entry via Youtube.com (Video

Content details below), then you must copy and paste the YouTube.com link of your uploaded video into an email and attach the completed Team Registration form found in your UniGAME packet which has been emailed to various student clubs and career services at your school or it can also be downloaded from facebook.com/enactususa along with an executive summary and send the email to: [email protected]. Your video must be a maximum of 3 minutes. Video Content: Using any Unilever brand, create a marketing campaign for how you will encourage sustainable habits in consumers of that brand and tell your story of how you will help create a brighter future for the world (the “Entry”). You must submit your Entry as part of a team of three individuals and all three team members must be from the same college/university (the “Team”), and the person uploading the Entry will be deemed the Team Captain (“Team Captain”). The Team Captain will be the point of contact for this Contest and he/she will be responsible to contact team members if any additional information is needed. Each Entry will be judged per the Judging Criteria listed below to determine three (3) Finalists, and ultimately a Grand Prize team. Limit one (1) Team per person. Limit one (1) Entry per Team. Each participating team may have an academic mentor (“mentor”), who is a university professor or teacher, to give advice during the Team participation. The Finalist Teams (once determined) may be accompanied by their academic mentors to the National Final round. However, the mentors will not be allowed to present or answer questions on behalf of the participating Teams. Limit one (1) mentor per Finalist trip. By submitting an Entry, you attest that you have made all those depicted in the video aware that you are entering a video on their behalf and all depicted have agreed that you may submit such video. You must obtain signed release forms from each of the people appearing in your video (or parent/legal guardian if a minor). You may be required to submit your signed release forms from each of the people appearing in your video. If your video contains a building that is not owned by the Sponsor, you must obtain a property release from the building’s property manager. You may be required to submit your signed property release forms from each building that is not owned by the Sponsor appearing in your video. The Entry may not contain obscene, lewd or inappropriate images or text, as determined at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Any Team whose video includes the likeness of a third party or contains elements not owned by the Team (including, but not limited to, trademarks or logos) may be required to provide a legal release for such use, including Sponsor's use of such Entry, in a form satisfactory to Sponsor. Any digital video that is not of satisfactory quality (i.e., brightness, focus, volume) to be streamed online will likely be rejected, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor has the sole discretion to determine whether a video qualifies as an Entry. Any Entry not in compliance with the above will be disqualified. All Entries must be the sole, original work of the Team and Entries may not have won any previous awards or competitions. All Entries submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. No information regarding Entries or voting, other than as otherwise set forth in the Official Rules, will be disclosed. Each Team grants to Sponsor the right to use, publish, and broadcast his/her name, voice, picture, portrait, image and likeness in all media and types of advertising and promotion. Teams agree that all rights to the video belong to them and the video does not infringe, misappropriate or violate the rights of any third party including, but not limited to, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, rights of publicity or privacy or defamation, or portrayal in a false light. No copyrighted music, trademarks, brands, or other intellectual property not owned by Team may be used in Entry. Such use will immediately disqualify the Entry. Any Entry deemed unsuitable will be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Each Team certifies that he/she has the opportunity to appear in the video and Teams acknowledge that they irrevocably assign, transfer and convey the entire ownership, right, title, and interest in the video to Sponsor. Accordingly, Sponsor will have ownership of and copyright in the video. By entering, you understand that your Entry may (in Sponsor’s sole discretion) be posted online for public viewing. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any members of the Team or the Team Captain, the Team/Team Captain will be deemed the name(s) appearing on the Entry at the time of submission. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by Entrants’ online service will apply.

3. Entry Requirements: Sponsor has the sole discretion to determine whether an Entry is eligible. All

Entries must be the sole, original work of the Team (and if Team did not do the actual videotaping, he/she must have permission from the person videotaping who must not be a professional videographer/photographer). Video editing should be conducted by Team and not by a professional video editor. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Teams and winners acknowledge and agree that their Entries become the property of the Sponsor, which thereby has the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use Entries in any way it sees fit. Automated, script, macro or robotic Entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be disqualified. Entries must be in keeping with Sponsor's image and may not be offensive, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, nor can it defame or invade publicity rights or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's personal or proprietary rights. In such an event, the Entry will not be posted online and will be disqualified from the Contest. Any Entry not in compliance with the above and does not meet the Contest requirements will be disqualified. By entering, you agree to waive any rights you may have to the Entry submitted.

4. Eligibility: Open to college/university juniors and seniors currently enrolled in an accredited

college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree who reside in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older as of date of Entry. Employees of Conopco, Inc., d/b/a Unilever (“Sponsor”), its respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and judging agencies and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, assigns, and all others associated with the development, evolvement and execution of this Contest (collectively “Sponsor and its Administrators”) are not eligible to participate or win.

5. Finalist and Grand Prize Judging/National Final round/Global Round Details and Finalist

Notification: All Entries received will be judged by Sponsor-select judges (“Judges”) on or about January 27th, 2014, based on the following criteria: Creativity of Solution (40%), Impact on Business and Sustainability (30%), and Consumer Centricity(30%) (the “Judging Criteria”), to determine three (3) Finalists. Any tied Entries will be rejudged by the judges based 100% on Creativity of Solution to determine the applicable Finalists. Finalist Team members will then have the opportunity to present their Entry in front of the Judges for the National Final round of the UniGAME (“presentation”) and be re-judged based 25% on the presentation and 75% on the Judging Criteria to determine one (1) Grand Prize Team. All details of the presentation (and the Global Round described below) will be in Sponsor’s sole discretion and will be explained to Finalists (Grand Prize winner) prior to the presentation (Global Round). All members of the Team must be present at presentation (Global Round) at the time/location specified by Sponsor in order to be eligible. At the National Final round, based on judging scores, indicated above, the Teams will be ranked as First, Second and Third Ranking and based on this ranking will each receive a check for either $5,000 (Ranked First); $3,000 (Ranked Second) or $2,000 (Ranked Third). The Team ranked First will also win the Grand Prize, subject to verification. Sponsor reserves the right to videotape and/or record/photograph the presentation and Global Round (“footage”), in their sole discretion and use such footage (or portions of the footage) as they see fit. Any tied Finalists will be rejudged by the judges based 100% on Relevance to Theme to determine the Grand Prize Team and the Ranking order. Judges’ decisions are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest. By participating, Teams agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

6. Grand and Finalist Prizes and Approximate Retail Values (“ARV”): Grand Prize (1): A trip for Team only (3 Team members total) for a Sponsor-specified length of time to Singapore to compete in the Global Round of Unilever Future Leaders’ League on or about March 11, 2014- March 14, 2014. Trip includes round-trip coach air transportation from the major airport nearest the winner’s home city to destination city, hotel accommodations (based on triple occupancy and availability) and ground transportation to/from airport/hotel/competition (ARV: up to $5,700). There will be senior management interaction and exposure/mentoring/leadership input provided to winner at the Global Round. Finalist Prizes (3 total, 1 per Team): A 2-night trip for Team (3 Team members) and one mentor only, if applicable, to Unilever Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey to compete in National Final round of the UniGAME on February 7th

, 2014. Trip includes round-trip coach air transportation from the major airport nearest the winner’s home city to destination city, two (2) night hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy and availability), ground transportation to/from hotel/airport and either a $5,000 check, a $3,000 check or a $2,000 check as described above (the checks must be evenly split between Team members) (Min. ARV: $5,250; Max ARV: $8,250). It will be the Team Captain’s responsibility to equally divide the prize amongst all applicable Team members. Prizes will be awarded, as long as there are enough eligible Entries received, and the Finalists/Grand Prize Team will be notified by phone, mail and/or e-mail. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted. Taxes related to the prize are the responsibility of each winner, if applicable. All other expenses and costs not expressly listed above are the winners’ sole responsibility.

7. Finalist/Grand Prize Rules: Airline carrier's regulations and conditions apply. Trips may not be combined with any other offer and travel may not qualify for frequent flyer miles. Finalists/Grand Prize Team members must travel together on the same itinerary for applicable trip. Winning Team members must possess valid travel documents (i.e., valid government issued photo ID,

passport, etc.) in order to travel. All travel must be completed on dates specified by Sponsor; dates of departure and return are subject to availability and change. Seat selection and timing of trip subject to availability and confirmation of reservations. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. All other expenses and costs, not expressly listed above, including, but not limited to, taxes, tips, entertainment and transfers, are winner's sole responsibility. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion of prize) of equal or greater value in the event the prize is unavailable. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winner (or the parent/guardian if winner is a minor in his/her state of residence), if applicable.

8. General Rules: The Administrator will make three (3) attempts to contact the potential Finalist

Team Captain via phone/email within 24 hours from the time Finalist determination was accomplished. If Administrator is unable to reach the potential Finalist Team Captain via phone/email within this time frame, Team will be disqualified and an alternate will be determined, time permitting. Potential Finalist Team members (or parent/legal guardian if any Team member is a minor in his/her state of residence) will then be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, liability/publicity release (except where prohibited by law) and assignment of rights within three (3) days (including weekends) of notification attempt or the prize will be forfeited and alternate winner may be determined, time permitting. Affidavit packages will be mailed via overnight mail with a pre-paid overnight return envelope included or sent via email. Each member of the potential Grand Prize Team (or parent/legal guardian if any Team member is a minor in his/her state of residence) and the mentor (if applicable) will be required to sign and return a Grand Prize acceptance form (except where prohibited by law) and assignment of rights (for Team members only) within three (3) days (including weekends) of notification attempt or the prize will be forfeited and alternate winner may be determined, time permitting. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and alternate determination, time permitting. Winners and all Teams (or parent/legal guardian if any Team member is a minor in his/her state of residence), as a condition of Entry into the Contest and any traveling mentors, agree to release Sponsor and its Administrators, each of their respective agencies, parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, assigns, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest (collectively the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with submitting an Entry (as applicable) or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Contest, the receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement or offering of a prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s/Finalists’ name, likeness, Entry, for promotional purposes (including any possible public relations opportunities) without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By entering, Team (or parent/legal guardian if any Team member is a minor in his/her state of residence) accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of Entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the Entry process or the operation of the Contest; violates the Official Rules; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries in this Contest. Entries generated by script or

bot are not eligible. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to for infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or corruption of any sort. In such event, Sponsor will determine Finalists/Grand Prize Team based on the Judging Criteria, from eligible Entries received prior to cancellation and award Prizes in the process described above, if enough eligible Entries are received. As a condition of entering the Contest, Team members (or parent/legal guardian if any Team member is a minor in her state of residence) agree that: 1) under no circumstance will Team be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for out-of-pocket expenses; 2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and 3) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorney’s fees.

9. Conditions: Winning Team/Finalists (or parent/legal guardian if any Team member is a minor in

his/her state of residence) acknowledge and agree that their Entries and any footage becomes the property of the Sponsor, which thereby has the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use Entries/footage in any way it sees fit in connection with advertising or promoting the Unilever brand and products in any medium, throughout the world, in perpetuity. Team shall have no right to review or approve edits, alterations or modifications, and the Team waives the benefit of any provision of law known as “moral rights”. No information regarding Entries or judging will be disclosed to any third party not involved in the conduct of the Contest. By submitting an Entry, you (or parent/legal guardian if you are a minor in your state of residence) represent: (a) that the Entry is your own original creation that has not previously been published or publicly shown or won a prize or award; and (b) any and all rights to the Entry belong to you and the Entry does not infringe, misappropriate or violate the rights of any third party.

10. Limitation of Liability: TEAMS (OR PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN IF ANY TEAM

MEMBER IS A MINOR IN HIS/HER STATE OF RESIDENCE) HEREBY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE SPONSOR AND ITS ASSIGNS AND LICENSEES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THEIR USE OF THE VIDEO OR ANY ADS DEVELOPED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIMS FOR DEFAMATION, INVASION OF PRIVACY OR RIGHT OF PUBLICITY. NEITHER CONOPCO, INC. D/B/A UNILEVER, PRIZE PROVIDERS, DON JAGODA ASSOCIATES, INC., NOR THEIR AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, SUBSIDIARIES, OR AFFILIATED COMPANIES, AS WELL AS THEIR ADVERTISING AND CONTEST AGENCIES, SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY OR GOODWILL. IN ALL EVENTS, THE SOLE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF SPONSOR, PRIZE PROVIDERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE APPROX. RETAIL VALUE OF THE PRIZES SET FORTH HEREIN.

11. Winners: For the names of the Finalists/Grand Prize Team, available after February 28, 2014, send a

stamped, self-addressed envelope by March 28, 2014, to: The UniGAME 2014 Winners, P.O Box 7999, Melville, NY 11775-7999.
