2 Buy, renovate and sell a campervan:

As it says on the can??


If you think that you would like to lead this group please put (leader) by your name. NB. The existing, large, Mini bus is up for sale this might make a

very good starting vehicle for a Campervan conversion??


3 Major sponsored walk or cycle:

As it says on the can?? But will need to inspire a City!

events which will form part of their fund raising efforts.


4 Charity Art gallery: Local artists, Celebrities from Bristol, friends etc donate pieces of work, signatures, doodles etc for display and sale.




5 Bristol Photographs: We collect unusual views of Bristol and sell the framed versions and postcards versions.

6 Urban Saints The Urban Saints have targeted themselves to raise £1000.

7 Fashion Show: Local college or university students as well as local stores support a fashion show. Alternatively we could do Charity Shop show.

A variety of music events supported by internal and external resources.

9 Charity Black Tie Ball: Arrange a Black Tie function probably in association with the art gallery, photo gallery or Fashion Show.

10 Christian Festival weekend:

Invite key speakers, musicians etc to participate in a Bristol wide festival. All Corps across Bristol: One Price, One City, One Weekend. 29th and 30th June 2013.

Joint youth chorus in Bristol 29 / 30 June 2013!


11 Clock Design: Design and Manufacture Avant-garde clocks using standard clock movements. For display and sale. Could make faces from old clothes? Or other items donated to the charity shops. Making clocks out of old Army LP’s and 78’s

12 Create a “Music Centre”.

We have a strong musical knowledge in the Corps and we could set up a music centre to provide brass lessons, general music instruction, run training choir (St Paul’s Community choir)

School music lessons cost c~£200 per year for Parents


13 Bristol History Walks: Set up history walking tours around the Centre of Bristol; Facts with a level of theatre or drama.




14 Break a World Record We find a community based “World Record” to break (most people doing …?) with the subsequent raising of the profile of “Raised in Bristol” and actual donations. Recently the BBC broke the world record for the "most players in a five a side exhibition football match in a 24 hour period". 450 individuals from Sheffield working together to achieve their goal.




Ideas: Most people in a single Shakespeare production; Largest (Most people) doing a Nativity Play.


15 Barn Dance Stage a Barn Dance at a venue in Bristol and open it up to other churches / Corps and community.




16 Car Boot Sale / Table top sale

Either take donated goods to an established car boot sales and sell the items or set up a table top sale in the courtyard for Corps family and community to rent space.




17 “Words in Pictures!” Collect Black and White pictures that of real situations where the image looks like a letter. Putting a selection of the images together can then make words, Names etc.

18 Charity Concert Invite celebrities and professional musicians, groups to participate in a Charity Concert event to be held at a theatre venue in Bristol.

19 Salvation Army Calendar

Create a 2014 Salvation Army wall calendar for distribution through other Corps.




20 A Topographical History of Bristol

Set up a CD charting the history of the streets of Bristol, their location as the city expanded.

John is also doing talks at the Bristol and Avon Family History society and may be able to spend some time talking about our future as well as our past.


21 Car Washing Set up a regular car washing site in your own neighborhood.




22 Stand Up Comedy Nights

Invite local stand up comics and national “Christian” comics to participate in events. Also Open Mic nights?
