OUR HISTORY

In 1972, Vern and Hanni Hinkle founded Idaho Sand and Gravel Company to supply rock products to retail customers in the Boise, Idaho area. We soon expanded into asphalt production, paving and construction services and have asphalt plants in Nampa, Boise and Twin Falls, Idaho. We offer a complete line of services including aggregate and asphalt production, asphalt paving, road construction, site work, mass excavation, gravel operations and trucking.

Idaho Concrete Company' s history dates back to the early 1900s when founder, George Jesson, jack-of-all-trades, offered services that ranged from the manufacturing of concrete pipe, pre-cast concrete, pre-stressed concrete, ready -mix concrete, and even asphalt paving. The company progressed through many name changes eventually becoming a ready-mixed concrete company called Idaho Concrete Company.

The two companies joined together to supply sand, rock and landscape products, ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, and construction

services from a broad network of operations throughout southern Idaho.

Now, Idaho Sand & Gravel , Idaho Concrete Company, and International Stone have merged to provide an even wider range of products and services to more locations in Idaho.

IDAHO MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION WINS NATIONAL AW ARD FOR QUALITY IN ASPHALT PAVING February 16, 2018

Idaho Materials and Construction (IMC) won a Quality in Construction Award for asphalt pavement from the National Asphalt Pavement Association

(NAPA) for their work on I-84 in Canyon County.

"We were honored to receive this award," Eric St. Pierre, Idaho Materials and Construction General Manager said. "It was an ultimate team approach

between our employees, subcontractors and the state of Idaho. The fast track nature of this project helped to show the strength of our teams, as well as their

ability to go above and beyond. All of the work was performed with zero incidents, even with the compressed schedule. I am extremely proud ofour team

and what they can accomplish."

IMC successfully worked with !TD (Idaho Transportation Department) to minimize the effect on commuters while completing an eight-mile mill and

overlay project to repair roads that had been damaged due to a harsh winter. Three paving crews and two plants kept the project moving all weekend over

four consecutive weekends.

'The asphalt pavement industry is committed to building high-quality projects that deliver superior performance to the traveling public," 2017 NAPA

Chairman Dan Gallagher said in a press release. "All contractors' projects earning a Quality in Construction award are measured against best practices

designed to live up to that commitment. Earning the Quality in Construction Award demonstrates that Idaho Materials & Construction has met or exceeded

these rigorous standards."
