1.2 Service checklist

Carry out the following check procedure at the terminal and the weighing platform before troubleshooting and after servicing.

1.2.1 At the terminal

• Check whether an operating error is present.

• Check power and weighing platform connection cables.

• Check calibration via the "Test key".

• Check functions – entries via keypad (see operating instructions).

• Carry out display, keypad and printer tests; for this purpose:

– Unplug terminal.– Unplug weighing platform.– Switch terminal on. PLUG IN appears in the display.– Press SET TO ZERO key until SERVICE MODE appears in the display.– Press Enter key until all display elements illuminate.– Press all keys in sequence from left to right.– If a GA46 printer is connected, a test printout is printed automatically after the last key is pressed.– "END?" appears in the display. The test routine can be repeated by pressing the Tare key.– Press the Enter key to return to weighing mode.

• Check all plug-in connections and program EPROM for firm seating.

• Check connected peripherals.

1.2.2 At the weighing platform

• Check that transport locks of the weighing platform have been released properly and are in the correct position.

• Check supports of the weighing platform.

• Check that the load plate is free and has no contact with the surroundings.

• Check maximum capacity and linearity of the weighing platform.

• Check play of all stops and limits.

• Check that the lever system is free on all sides.

• Check knife edges, bearings and flexible bearings.
