BlinkerSign® solar powered signs provide drivers a real-time warning of icy roads ahead so they can slow down and take caution. Linked to the Surface Sentinel, the LEDs �ash ONLY when road conditions are icy providing a dynamic, more e�ective warning than 24 /7 �ashing. The sensor is a compact and rugged sensor that provides surface temperature, air temperature, relative humidity and dew point from a �xed tower or pole.

BlinkLink™Optional Surface Sentinel Environmental SensorThe Model 5439 Fixed Surface Sentinel is a compact and rugged sensor that provides surface temperature, air temperature, relative humidity and dew point from a �xed tower or pole. The Surface Sentinel was designed for the demands of road management professionals.
Standard open-architecture data output is available via SDI-12 to provide a common interface to industry standard datalogger and telemetry options. The sensor has an integrated, powermanaged fan as an option for applications where higher accuracy air temperature and relative humidity readings are needed. A contact output is provided directly from the sensor to trigger ITS �eld devices at user de�ned sensor thresholds.
Optional BlinkLink™ Web- Based Traffic Device Monitor & ControlMonitor BlinkerSign® LED signs and other ITS device status from any web-enabled computer with this optional software and installed modem. Comprehensive management of all device settings, schedules and messages. Near-time information allows you to respond immediately to changing situations.

Optional BlinkerBeam® Wireless CommunicationSystems can be activated and controlled with BlinkerBeam® self-powered wireless transmitters and receivers. These compact controllers activate systems wirelessly within a 1,000 ft. range line of sight (longer distances available with external antennas). BlinkerBeam® can be activated and controlled from a remote location, allowing for immediate implementation of warning, emergency and evacuation systems. Electric grid independence provides activation during power outages and remote locations.
