    Time: 3A (7.30 8.00), 3B (9.30 -10.00)

    Subject: ICT Removable Storage Devices

    i. Set Induction(2 minutes)

    Before the class begins, teacher will show them a

    DVD which consists of 7 different stories/ cartoons

    Oral questioning the pupils:

    What do you called this thing? How many movies do you think it can hold?

    Do you think it is one of computer devices?

    Pupils will be instructed to gather around in frontof IWB where teacher will show them a DVD anddo oral questioning. The questions will relate totodays lesson on removable storage devices.

    They will be given opportunities to give theircomments and ideas. This will let them to trustthemselves on making a judgment or decisionmaking. Indirectly, it will also develop theircommunication skills.

    Step 1 (10 minutes)

    Teacher PupilsStep 1:

    Teacher will show them a PowerPoint Presentation

    which includes different types of removable storage

    devices which are still widely used among Primary

    Schools pupils. Teacher will also discuss on the

    pros and cons of each devices.

    Oral questioning the pupils:

    Can we use this device to save 20MB data?

    Which one would you think is easier to carry?

    Step 2:Teacher asks them to go to their workstationand follow teachers instruction on classroomactivity. Teacher will explain what they areexpected to do:

    1. Find a folder called 20 April 2009 on thedesktop. Then double clickto open. Click on

    classwork document.2. Fill in both of your name and class you are study

    in.

    3. You can discuss the answers with your partners,

    but remember to type in your answers incomplete spelling / sentences.

    4. Once finish, SAVE the document by clicking on:File > Save As (Type your name and class).

    5. Finally, put yourPENDRIVE / FLOPPY DISKinto the computer USB and copy the 20 April2009 folder to your own pendrive or floppy

    disk.

    Teacher will show them on how to drag-and-drop a document to be shared.

    Step 1:Pupils will be instructed to stay gather in front ofthe interactive Whiteboard (IWB) where teacherstarts the PowerPoint Presentation. The oralquestioning will be opened to any pupils to avoid

    any stress or anxiety among them.

    Brainstorming is one way of learning strategiesthat I used to encourage the pupils to developtheir thinking, problem solving skills andencourage them to give comment fluently andconfidently.

    Step 2:Pupils will go to their workstation and expected tofollow teachers instruction which will also beprojected on IWB. They should listen carefully onteachers explanation before start to do theclassroom activity.

    Exploration:During this lesson, they will be given moreinformation on pros and cons of storage device.Therefore, they could be able to choose which onewill be appropriate and applicable to buy and usein different situations with different amount ofdata to be saved.

    iv. Conclusion:Pupils Feedback( 3 minutes)

    Another 5 minutes is

    reserved for morninggreeting, reciting Doaand any other delaying.

    Teacher will ask them on what they havelearnt today and inform that they might needdifferent types of removable devices onspecific amount of data needed to be saved.

    Pupils are reminded to bring their own pendrivesfor next week activity.
