CULTURAL EXPERIENCES

Get your morning started with breakfast from one of the hidden cafes in the West End, then hit the high end shops in King Street for some retail therapy or some window shopping.

Head to the Perth Cultural Centre across the walkway from the central Perth Train Station to immerse yourself in exhibitions at the Art Gallery of WA, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts and the State Library of WA, or book yourself in for a theatrical experience at the State Theatre Centre of WA or The Blue Room.

Head into Northbridge for an authentic Chinese Yum Cha lunch at one of the many traditional restaurants and cafes.

Congregate at the iCity Visitor Booth in Murray Street just before 11am for a 90min free guided walking tour of the City. Or at 2pm on each weekday, tours are conducted on the different historical and cultural highlights of the city.

Discover a small bar down an art laden laneway such as Wolf Lane in the West End and Lock Lane in Northbridge.

OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES

Dine alfresco in the many street side cafes from the west to the east of the city.

Take a leisurely stroll along the Swan River to Heirisson Island where you can view Grey kangaroos roaming free.

Hire a bike or kayak near Point Fraser and peddle or paddle your way to Matilda Bay where you can use free bbqs and enjoy a beautiful picnic by the river and the stunning grounds of the University of WA.

A visit to Perth would not be complete without an ice-cream at Elizabeth Quay and a tour of the Bell Tower at Barrack Square. The jewel in Perth's crown is Kings Park. Walk or catch the 37 bus from St Georges Tce to spend a day discovering 400 hectares of manicured gardens and panoramic views of the city. Get a new perspective of Perth from one of the many rooftop bars.
