When a liquid changes to a solid, it goes through the process of freezing.

Saint Jacob in Olsztyn made of ice

This is when a liquid cools below the freezing point and loses energy.

Water exists in three states- solid, liquid, and gaseous.

Ice, snow, and frost are examples of water in the solid state.

The process in which a solid changes into a liquid is called melting. When a solid gains enough energy,

it changes state, from a solid to a liquid.

We poured water into a jar, marked a level of water with a pen.

Page 5: Ice ,water and water vapour

After night we saw that the level of frozen water is different.

Page 6: Ice ,water and water vapour

We wanted to check how fast water melts

and check temperature of melting.

It was warm in the classroom.

Under normal conditions, ordinary water freezes at 0°C, or 32°F.

The water and ice are at 0°C, which is the melting point of ice and the freezing point of water.

Children had to read sentences about water, ice and water vapour.

Then they classified sentences into three groups.
