The PTA will be hosting its 3rd Annual Ice Cream Social on This Thursday, the 19th, from 6:30 - 7:30pm in in the All
Purpose Room (APR) / Cafeteria. We’ll have ice cream and popsicles
for everyone to enjoy. We are grateful to Baskin Robbins of Olney for sponsoring this fun event.

Tuesday, Sept 24RESTAURANT NIGHT!
The PTA meeting is an excellent opportunity to meet members of your PTA Board, to find out about upcoming events and to learn how you can get involved. Childcare will be available in the All Purpose Room (APR) for kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th.
One of the best ways to support our students, staff and community is to join the PTA. Download the membership form on our website and please send completed forms into school along with a check made payable to “OES PTA.” Our Membership Co-Chairs will also be available at Back to School Night if you prefer to join in person.

Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, Sept 26 at 6pm.
Be sure to stop by the gym
before you leave. PTA representatives will be available to answer questions and to assist parents interested in joining the PTA.
Many of our staff spend money out of their own pockets to enhance our children’s learning experience at OES. The Wish Wall is a way to help alleviate some
of these personal expenses.
Staff will post their wishes on the bulletin board outside the APR on Back to School Night. Please stop by the Wish Wall before you leave and consider fulfilling a wish or two, not just for your child’s teacher, but also for our amazing
support staff.
It’s easy to fulfill a wish! Just choose a post-it with an item you are willing to purchase. Once you’ve purchased the item, make sure to label it with the staff member’s name (or attach the post-it) and send it into school with your child
or drop it off at the office.

If you haven’t done so already, please be sure
to register for Harris Teeter’s Together in Education to support OES (Group #1030). If we reach a total of 85 links by October 16th, Harris Teeter will give us a $100 bonus! Next time you do your grocery shopping, ask the cashier to register your card or stop by the Customer
Service desk. Please ask family, friends and neighbors to help us reach our goal. Each VIC card can support up to 5 schools. You can also register online.
