The church that I see is a global church. I see a global family: One house with many rooms, outworking a unifi ed vision. I see a church apostolic in calling, and visionary in nature; committed to boldly impacting millions for Christ in signifi cant cities and nations throughout the earth with the greatest of all causes - the Cause of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I see a church that champions the cause of local churches everywhere; encouraging them to be all that God has called them to be. A Church that refuses to be content with the triumphs of the past, but is constantly looking towards the future - fi lled with a vision that inspires and infl uences many.

Positioned in the heart of culture, in great diverse urban centres, I see buildings that struggle to contain the increase of all that God is doing; occupying land and places that are miraculous in provision and impossible to ignore.

I see a church that is big enough to dream on a global scale, yet personal enough for every ONE

to fi nd their place. I see a church that beckons ‘WELCOME HOME’ to every man, woman and child that walks through the doors.

The church that I see is a worshipping church whose songs refl ect such a passion for Christ that others sense His magnifi cence and power. A distinct sound that emanates from a healthy church, contagious in spirit - creating music that resounds from villages and tribes to great cities and nations.

I see a church that is constantly innovative: A church that leads the communication of a timeless message through media, fi lm, and technology. A church with a message beamed to people around the globe through their television screens, bringing JESUS into homes, palaces and prisons alike.

I see a church with a world-class college that raises, equips, and empowers generations of young, anointed leaders from across the globe. Graduates who serve God in all walks of life, released to salt the earth with dynamic ministries

THE CHURCH I NOW SEE

Page 3: ICARE Academy prospectus 2015/2016

THE CHURCH I NOW SEEand churches throughout the continents of the world.

I see a church graced with layers of ‘once-in-a-generation’ type leaders - who are naturally gifted, spiritually potent and genuinely humble. Leaders who will pay the price and count the cost of impacting cities and nations with great, God-glorifying churches.

I see a church whose leadership is unifi ed in their commitment to the authenticity, credibility and quality of its heart. Leaders who dare to be themselves, yet live secure in the knowledge that “what they are part of is bigger than the part they play.”

I see a church committed to an innovative NETWORK that connects hundreds of thousands of pastors and leaders and equips them to fl ourish. A network committed to the apostolic anointing of leaders who are desperate to see the Church of Jesus Christ rise up to live the un-lived life within her… His glorious Church.

I see like-spirited churches in cities of infl uence that exemplify faithfulness manifested in bricks and mortar. Churches with supernatural provision of buildings and properties standing as beacons of light that bring glory to God and hope to humanity.

I see a church that loves God, loves people and loves life. Youthful in spirit; generous at heart; faith-fi lled in confession; loving in nature and inclusive in expression.

Yes, the church that I see is committed to bringing the love and hope of Christ to impossible situations through the preaching of the Gospel and a mandate that drives us to do all we can to bring help and solution to a needy world. Whose head is Jesus, help is the Holy Spirit and whose focus is the Great Commission.

WHAT IS THEICARE ACADEMY?

The ICARE Academy was birthed out of the ICARE Revolution, a movement of young leaders who care about those around them; who stand up for what’s right and work to make a difference in the world. The ICARE Revolution values and believes in all people, irrespective of race, religion, background or experience in life.

The ICARE Academy is a yearlong programme for those who have a heart for God and a passion to support kids, youth and young adults of our country.ICARE goes into schools and universities, speaking to students about everyday challenges in life, inspiring and motivating them to step out, make good choices, and be a catalyst for change in the world around them. All participants will receive leadership development, ministry training, theology teaching and close leadership and mentoring from the Hillsong London staff team. Alongside this, ICARE Academy members choose one of three ministries, Kids which has a focus on Primary schools, Youth which focus on Secondary schools and Young Adults which focus on Universities.

There is also a choice of four streams to develop personal skills. These are ‘pastoral’, ‘production’, ‘creative’ and TV and film.

All Academy members will also be involved in the pioneering and delivering of our ICARE school and university programme across London.

The aim of the ICARE Academy is to equip and empower people to enhance the Kingdom of God, their personal skills and their own walk with Jesus. We are committed to supporting and developing each Academy member to become a ‘once-in-a-generation-leader’ in their life settings.

Over the year, we aim to build a team of effective, innovative leaders who will reach a multitude of kids, young people and young adults and lead them to Jesus.

This is your year to step out, step up and receive all that God has in store for you!

Page 10: ICARE Academy prospectus 2015/2016

MINISTRY TRAININGThe Ministry Training element of the programme aims to see members established in the essentials for Christian living and ministry. Themes will include: understanding theology, applying the Bible, living with purpose and creating a Jesus focused lifestyle.

Our mission is to grow disciples, raise leaders and equip them for life and the outworking of their call to serve in God’s house and influence their world.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH The ICARE Academy has a huge desire to see all members grow in their personal relationship and spiritual walk with God.

We know that to reach people for Jesus, we need to have a real and vital relationship with Him. We will provide Academy members with an opportunity to gain a mentor who will encourage and challenge him or her to press into God on a personal level!

We hope that all Academy graduates will be inspired to pursue a future serving and advancing the Kingdom of God.

ACADEMY STREAMSAll Academy members can choose from one of four streams provided- pastoral, production, creative and TV and media. They will learn and develop their skills and knowledge in their chosen area over the year.

Learning from our well-experienced and skilled mentors, members will be given the opportunity to put what they learn into practice. These streams will serve to increase the capabilities of Academy members as they reach out to kids, youth and young adults through the different ministries as well as in their future settings.

LEADERSHIP TRAININGThe Leadership Development element takes members on a learning journey, developing key leadership qualities and skills needed to lead with excellence and build the house of God.

The programme is designed to equip Academy members to lead in every sphere of life. However, the focus is predominantly on leadership and ministry development within a local church setting, and outreach into local communities.

A WEEK AS AACADEMY MEMBERSCHOOLS & UNIVERSITIESDuring the week, Academy members will go into a variety of schools and universities delivering the ICARE presentations. Academy members will use their ‘specialised stream skills’ to develop and build the ICARE presentations, designed to reach kids, youth and young adults and increase opportunities in schools and universities.

KIDS, YOUTH, YOUNG ADULTSAll Academy members will be involved in building the kids, youth or young adult ministry within the life of the church. They will attend the community events, ‘Midterm Mayhem’, ‘HYL Nights’ or ‘Power House Gatherings’ and other events aimed at reaching their chosen ministry.

SPECIALISED PROJECTSAcademy members from all streams may be asked to assist with specialised church projects throughout the year. These will give unique opportunities for Academy members to utilize their gifts and skills within the life of the church.

SUNDAYS All Academy members are expected to serve at one of the Sunday service. Members are encouraged to serve in a ministry they are part of on the academy. Kids (1-6 year olds), Voltage (7-10 year olds), Fuel (11-14 year olds), Wildlife (15- 17 year olds), or Power House (18-25 year olds). This builds relationships with the kids, youth and young adults already part of the church, and those reached through ICARE in schools and universities. Members are also welcome to join a team that relates to their specific stream. All members will be encouraged to attend another service as part of the congregation.

ARCADE TEAM NIGHTSAll Academy members will attend monthly ARCADE team nights to gain vision and skills from their community leaders. These are great nights to grow as a team and connect with the wider church.

The ICARE Academy runs from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, which provides a variety of opportunities for personal growth through teaching, mentoring and practical experience. These are a few of the things Academy members will typically be involved in each week:

NOTE FROMALEX BLYTHE

It has been a huge honour and privilege for me to be involved with the ICARE Academy over the past year, and I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to undertake another year of investing into young leaders and building the House of God with them.

I am passionate about creating and building something that can have a large and long lasting impact on young people in England. I want to see a generation of youth rise up and take ownership for their future with a grounded faith in Jesus. I see the ICARE Academy as the first step toward something significant as it is through the Academy that we have an opportunity to reach young people in their schools and universities. The ICARE Academy is an opportunity to learn, grow and develop into major influencers of today’s world.

I am committed to sowing what I have into each and every Academy member. My desire is to push and challenge Academy members to become all they aspire to be, but also to become all God has called them to be.

If you have a heart for building God’s church and would like to grow in practical skills and knowledge of God and his word, come and join us for an awesome life changing year.

“The best part of the Academy I would say is simply the surrounding wisdom. We are learning from the best and it's inspired me to work to that benchmark of excellence. The passion for the house is incredible and I can feed off it and apply it to all areas of ICARE.”

“You should join the Academy if you want to make a difference by putting your gifts in place for others. There is always more room for growth for new areas that you won't even see in yourself right now. I am constantly excited whenever I do ICARE because I never know what's coming or opportunities will come.”

“I wanted to be a part of the ICARE Academy because as soon as Charlie spoke about it at team night, I felt straight away like God was like yup do that. ICARE Academy is literally a collective of everything I love in one!”

“Through the Academy I have learnt a lot about myself, I have developed my creative skills and furthered my knowledge of Jesus. Learning through serving, it’s fun! We are helping youth in more ways than we can imagine.”

“I put my career on hold so I could be a part of the ICARE Academy, and already it’s been better then I could imagine, I’d encourage anyone to do the Academy”
