ibright™ Managed Middleware

ibright™ Managed Middleware has been designed to deliver a high quality service experience and an easy to use solution for our Channel Partners and Customers.

We recognise that our Channel Partners operate in different industries and vary in size. Consequently, our Channel Partners have different capabilities and resources available to them.

We work with potential Channel Partners to understand their resources and capabilities and establish a framework for them to successfully sell, support and manage ibright™ Telematic Solutions.

Given the power and configurability of the ibright™ solutions we do, however, insist on a managed middleware layer for the ibright™ Solution Suite in all instances. This ensures that the technology is monitored and configured correctly.

What vehicles will ibright work with?

All modern cars, vans, trucks, trailers, buses, refrigerated trailers and containers (Reefers). The table shows the data protocols supported by ibright™.

Remote Vehicle Diagnostics

The ibright™ hardware range features the X–Series telematics unit and the D–Series smart peripheral.

The X–Series incorporates a powerful central computer with massive on board storage, a GPS receiver, a 3–axis accelerometer and extensive peripheral device connectivity.

The D–Series is a small wireless smart peripheral that plugs directly into a vehicle’s on-board computer to capture vehicle diagnostics information. This includes fault and warning indicators, performance metrics and odometer readings. It is compatible with cars, trucks, vans and buses. The D–Series communicates with the X–Series via a secure Bluetooth Class One connection.

With the small size of the unit, the quick connection to on-board •computers and the option of either using internal or external GPS /GPRS antennas, ibright™ has been engineered to make installations quicker and easier than previously thought possible.

Send Only the Data You Need

The ibright™ on-board intelligence can monitor geofences, driver •metrics and can calculate predefined data expressions all within the unit. These are tasks that would normally be performed by centralised reporting applications at a server level, after data has been sent from the unit in the field. The ibright™ unit’s ability to perform calculations means unnecessary data doesn’t need to be transmitted. ibright™ is capable of finding the direct answer to your business questions.

Wireless Security

Synchronisation between the ibright™ X–Series and D–Series units is via •a secure Bluetooth Class One connection. The units will not talk to other ibright™ or peripheral equipment via Bluetooth unless they have been authorised to do so. ibright™ X–Series provides optional 128bit data encryption of GPRS •data transmission.
