Ibiza Luxury Villas

Originally founded in 654 BC by Phoenician settlers, Ibiza (“Eivissa”) is

now the go-to summer destination for the most exhilarating nightlife in the

world. The third largest of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza is located off the

southwestern coast of Spain.

The island is a must-see destination for most European travelers, but is

also frequented by people from across the globe. From North America, to

Australia, to Asia, and the Middle East, people flock to this West

Mediterranean paradise, taking up residence in its many hotels, resorts,

and in the many breathtakingIbiza luxury villas that dot the island.

Ibiza (pronounced “Ibitha” by the locals) is set amidst white-sandy

palm-fringed beaches, undulating green hills, and features spectacular

Mediterranean sunsets. Ibiza’s world-renowned nightlife draws droves of

people each season from across the world, making the visit a right-of-

passage of sorts for those who come of age.

Featuring some of Europe’s best-known nightclubs, the Ibiza party

scene features extreme excess, some of the largest parties in the world, and

internationally renowned DJs that spin their music from the pre-sunset

hours into the late mornings of the next day.

If you’re planning a trip to Ibiza this coming summer, this short travel

guide will help shed some light on the island’s must-see attractions,

parties, beaches, hotels, resorts, and just how to find and book an Ibiza

luxury villa to help accommodate your group.

Like any other tourist destination, Ibiza is teeming with luxury

accommodations. Many of its beachfront hotels and resorts sell out year

after year, especially during the peak travel season. And each year, more

and more Ibiza luxury villas become available for rental.

About Ibiza

Ibiza is the third largest island in the Balearic Islands, a chain of islands

located in the Mediterranean Sea. Mallorca, its nearby neighbor, is the

largest. Minorca is the second largest, while Formentera is the fourth

largest. There are also many minor islands located off the coast of the four

major islands.

The Balearic Island chain makes up a province of governance, with its

capital considered Palma on Mallorca, the largest of the group. The official

languages are Spanish and Catalan, governed by the sovereignty of Spain.

However, you’ll find English spoken by just about everyone here.

Of all the islands in the Balearic Islands, Ibiza is quite possibly the most

famous. It’s an international draw for partygoers from around the world.

Ibiza’s white-sandy palm-fringed beaches filled with daytime parties,

along with some of the world’s most exclusive nightclubs, draws droves of

visitors year after year.

In total, Ibiza comprises 571.6 square kilometers (220.7 square miles) of

land, approximately five times the size of the Greek island, Mykonos and

roughly similar in size to the Irish island, Isle of Mann. In total, Ibiza is

composed of 5 distinct regions. Each region offers something a little bit

different, as depicted in the following Wikipedia image.

1.Sant Josep de sa Talaia (San Jose) – Located in the south of the

island, this is the largest of the regions on Ibiza. It features 80

kilometers (49.7 miles) of beautiful Mediterranean coastline along

with some of the island’s most scenic coves.

2.Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio) – Located on the west

coast of the island, this area is home to the sunset strip, now a world

famous part of Ibiza with beach cafes and wild pre-sunset parties.

3.Sant Joan de Labritija (San Juan Bautista) – Located on the north

side of the island, you’ll find a quieter experience here that someoften refer to as the “Real Ibiza.”

4.Santa Eularia des Riu ( Santa Eulalia del Rio) – Quiet part of the

island with no major clubs. But, you will find some great

Page 6: Ibiza Luxury Villas

restaurants here along with plenty of bars. This is perfect if you’re

looking for a more laidback Ibiza luxury villa-rental experience.

5.Villa d’Evissa (Ibiza) – Quite possibly the most vibrant part of the

island, this area is host to Playa d’en Bossa, home to many of Ibiza’s

superclubs such as DC-10 and Space. This area is also replete with

 beachfront bars and restaurants.

Ibiza’s Major Clubs

The following are a list of the major clubs on Ibiza. If you’re looking to

book an Ibiza luxury villa, or even stay at a hotel or resort, and you’re

Booking Your Ibiza Luxury Villa

If you’re planning a trip to Ibiza this coming season, you should consider

booking an Ibiza luxury villa. Why? Well, Ibiza’s luxury villas offer an

unforgettable experience that doesn’t see you crammed into tiny hotel

rooms with your friends.

Split amongst the cost of a group, an Ibiza luxury villa would not only

provide a better overall experience, but per square meter, you might not be

paying that much more than a luxury hotel. Why not rent an Ibiza luxury

villa when you can get stunning views with your very own private pool?

Depending upon what type of experience you’re after, there are two

general areas in Ibiza that offer the big club experience, while three others

offer a quieter experience. While staying in the latter might see you having

to trek farther out to the clubs, it will offer you a retreat of sorts once the

parties are done.

But, for those that are looking to be in the midst of the action, there

really is no better bet than renting an Ibiza luxury villa in Ibiza Town

(Eivissa) where you’ll find some of the best superclubs on the island such

as DC-10 and Space, or in Sant Antonio.

What to Expect when Booking your Ibiza Luxury Villa

Now that you know a little bit about the island, what can you come to

expect about it? If you’re planning to rent an Ibiza luxury villa, you should

carefully consider the following:

1.Where exactly on the island (which region) is the Ibiza luxury villa

located in? – With 5 major regions to choose from, each offering a

unique experience, it’s important to consider just what you’re after

on the island. If you’re after the clubbing experience, then opt for

being in Ibiza Town or Sant Antonio. But, if you’re looking for a

quieter experience, then select San Jose, San Juan, or Santa Eulalia.

You’ll also need to consider transportation when picking a region. If

you’re booking an Ibiza luxury villa, you’ll need to rent a car.

Getting around Ibiza isn’t that easy, especially if you’re in the more

remote regions.

2.Does the Ibiza luxury villa have a swimming pool?– While this

might be an afterthought, since most Ibiza luxury villas do have

swimming pools, there are some that don’t. If you’re looking to

lounge poolside with your friends either after or before the club,

then you’ll want to rent a villa with a pool. Of course, if you’re in

Ibiza town, and close to all the action, then a pool might not be a

necessity. However, having a swimming pool, regardless, especially

Page 13: Ibiza Luxury Villas

7/21/2019 Ibiza Luxury Villas

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/ibiza-luxury-villas 13/17

if you’re renting an Ibiza luxury villa, is one amenity that you’ll find

worthwhile.

3.Number of Guests and Bedrooms Needed? – How many guests will

you be traveling with? How many bedrooms are needed? What bed

configuration are you after? Of course, when renting any Ibiza

luxury villa, consideration towards the bed layout is critical. Will

each person get a separate bedroom? How many beds does the villa

have? How big are the beds? For the most part, you’ll want to ensure

that each person has his or her own room when you’re renting an

Ibiza luxury villa. If you’re on a tight budget, you might consider

sharing rooms. But, there’s nothing better than some privacy and

comfort, even when traveling with friends.

4.Date of Travel – Any consideration when booking an Ibiza luxury

villa needs to take into account the dates of travel. In Ibiza, the

season tends to start with the opening parties around the second

week of June, and end with the closing parties at the last week of

October. But, the tourist season will begin as early as May. And even

if the major clubs are still shuttered, there are plenty of bars and

beach parties happening at that time. Peak travel is in August, where

you’ll find the highest price for club tickets and drinks, and huge

crowds.

5.Transportation in Ibiza– If you’re booking an Ibiza luxury villa,

you’ll want to consider a rental car, especially if you’re not staying in

Page 14: Ibiza Luxury Villas

7/21/2019 Ibiza Luxury Villas

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/ibiza-luxury-villas 14/17

the Sant Antonio or Ibiza Town areas. You could readily get around

with taxis and buses, but not if you’re in the more remote areas of

the island. You can find the major car rental outfits at the airport

such as Europcar, Thrifty, and Sixt. But be sure to plan your car

rental ahead of time, since the best vehicles will tend to sell out

earliest. There are also smaller specialty car rental companies located

throughout the island along with luxury rental-car providers.

Depending upon your budget, you’ll have many choices as long as

you book far in advance.

6.Airport Transfers– Arriving into Ibiza’s main airport, you’ll be faced

with numerous choices for airport transfers. If you’re booking an

Ibiza luxury villa, be sure to coordinate your airport transfer ahead

of time. Most luxury villas in Ibiza will include airport transfer for

you, while others will help you to arrange it an additional cost. Be

sure to ask the villa manager or booking company.

7.Meals & Dining Options– Ibiza is known for its wide range of

dining options. From casual to fine dining, you’ll find it all in Ibiza.

But, expect the times that you’re used to dining to be a bit different

here. In Ibiza, dinners can start as late as 9 to 10 pm and stretch until

midnight or even 1am. The afternoons are reserved forsiestas so you

might find some places closed around the times you’re used to

having lunch (2pm – 5pm). If you’re renting an Ibiza luxury villa,

then you’ll want to plan your meals accordingly. Some villa

Page 15: Ibiza Luxury Villas

companies will help to pre-stock your villa at an extra cost, while

others can assist you with arranging a private chef. Of course, if you

rent a car, you’ll easily find nearby grocers, along with fruit and

vegetable stands throughout the island.
