  • IBFs Demand Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP Certification Program As we move into a more demand driven environment the pressure to forecast and plan accurately is no longer an option, but an absolute must. As a result, this has created an unmet demand for Demand Planners, Forecasters, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) professionals in the field. How do you pre-qualify yourself and prove to management and/ or prospective employers that you have what it takes to do the job? How can you improve your career opportunities and maintain job security? And for employers, how can you build confidence that you have the right team to help you improve market-share and profitability, the fruits of improving forecast accuracy? IBF certification answers all of these questions.

IBFs certification program is based on its verified body of knowledge which it has been maintaining for over 30 years. This knowledge is built on best practices that are flexible and grow as economies evolve and change. IBF Certified professionals demonstrate that they are passionate about the field and often receive greater compensation and recognition. They are more likely to foster change, encourage collaboration & consensus, build critical relationships, and improve company performance.

The forecasting function is approximately three years old at our company. Yes, the exam(s) did a good job of verifying my professional experience along with knowledge gained through IBF conferences and tutorials.

The reason I wanted IBF certification was to give me more knowledge about the forecasting area...It has helped me tremendously, not only with just being knowledgeable about the forecasting & planning area and best practices, but it also helped show other people that I am knowledgeable about what I am doing... It helped me not only to land the job, but get the compensation that I was looking for. Estee Lauder felt, given the fact I took the time to study and get certified meant that I really knew what I was doing. That made me more confident to take on a role and it made me feel I was working for a company that really understood what forecasting was all about Keyamma Garnes, Director of Demand Planning, ESTEE LAUDER
