11th & 12th Grade Pre-IB

Our Pre-IB system is a tailor-made preparation for IBDP that focusses on : - Subject content- Applying knowledge and understanding to new as well as unfamiliar situations - Intellectual enquiry - Flexibility and responsiveness to change - Working and communicating in English - Cultural awareness.

At Collège Champittet, students will study English, Mathematics (Higher/ Standard in Grade 12),French (Advanced or Basic), History, Geography, Economics, Physics and Chemistry, or Biology and Chemistry, Art, Physical Education, Ethics

During the 2 year preparation the emphasis is on providing a solid but challenging foundation that also develops greater student autonomy and enhanced reflective and study skills ahead of the rigours of IBDP.

In some subjects, some students will be given the opportunity to take Cambridge IGCSE Certificates. The Certificates are externally assessed and awarded by Cambridge University and involve exams in May of Year 12 and externally assessed coursework in most subjects.

13th & 14th Grade International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

FRENCHFrench is the primary language of the school. It is mandatory up to 10th grade.For students who are not French-native speakers, the school provides French as a Foreign Language lessons (FLE).

ENGLISHThe academic programme is bilingual French-English. In the 11th grade, the students who have a B2 level of English can choose the bilingual Swiss Maturité or the International Baccalaureate.For the students who follow the international program and do not have the required level of English, the school organises English as an Additional Language lessons (EAL)
