Air cargo makes it happen…

What can ECE and its member states do to ensure sustainable increases in connectivity and

competitiveness?

Ensure existing UNECE tools are implemented (e.g. Harmonisation Convention, Trade Facilitation Implementation guide), monitored and provide capacity building support if required

Support efforts to liberalize the air cargo industry to increase competition and reduce trade costs

Co-create new global standards specifically focused on multi-modal solutions

Promote automated Single Window and Smart border solutions (one stop controls)

Exploit synergies with other International Organisations and work together to promote each others tools

Use the provisions of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement as the overarching guide to future activities

Have an integrated approach to environmental, social and economic impacts leading to long-term, sustainable, profitable air cargo industry

Continue to partner with Trade recognising that they strive for the same goals

What can ECE and its member states do to ensure sustainable increases in connectivity and

competitiveness?

Thank you!
