Organising and planning Planned projects and events by taking account of possible changes and setbacks and produced a

kick off presentation to gain the sponsorship of senior management. Used a project and work plan that included dates and milestones so progress could be tracked. Studied the impacts of the project and allocated resources accordingly. Managed the cross-functional work team and presented detailed results and proposals to the steering group.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

Direct loads of produce from Spain to Tesco distribution centres; commercial benefit of full loads, one day fresher product to customers.

Project management, development, testing and delivery of the retail element of a new operating model for the merchandising department in Tesco; this new operating system allows shop floor colleagues to do their job better, through more timely information on range changes and improved merchandising plans.

Merchandising regional roadshows for store managers, UK and Ireland; Store managers became closer to the process and they understood the importance of merchandising accurately. Key Performance Indicators for accurate plans increased.

Wine Warehouse Fulfilment; identified the opportunity to use the Tesco supply chain for the delivery of wine by the case to stores, and dotcom vans for onward delivery to customers. Turned this opportunity into a realistic solution. Customers were able to order cases of wine on line and have them delivered to their home for the first time.

Chairmanship of my local village fete; our local community enjoy a value for money day out and profits are delivered back to local causes. (Approx. £5,000 per year).
