About IAFOR The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) is lead by a group of global thought leaders who share a global view, and the common desire to make a difference. Joining us helps us keep our commitment to invest in and nurture a research archive, and publishing programme that the founders wish to keep a freely accessible archive. IAFOR was founded in 2009, and since organizing its first conference has built a network of more than 6,000 academics throughout the world and growing, and since October 2009 over 4,000 academics have attended IAFOR events, constituting the base of a growing worldwide academic community connecting people and institutions in the public and private sectors. IAFOR is a unique organization that attracts people from an amazing diversity of fields and backgrounds, and encourages collaborations between individuals and institutions in both the public and private sector, between the academic and the practitioner, between universities, governments, NPOs, and corporations. We have a lot to learn from each other as global citizens, and the exchange of ideas is what the forum is here to facilitate and nurture. About Our Events Our events are a celebration of the international, the intercultural, and the interdisciplinary and attract academics from all over the world. IAFOR works with a select number of top-level universities and encourages cooperation between academics in these institutions to help shape and guide our programmes. The events are attended by all ranks of academic from graduate students to university deans and presidents. Aside from those directly involved in the academic world, IAFOR events also attract participants of all levels and backgrounds, including government ministers, ambassadors and consuls, university presidents and deans, NPO and NGO heads, and CEOs from the corporate world. Our events are attended by registrants from all over the world, with a majority coming from South-East Asia (60 percent), as compared with a large minority from other areas, notably Australasia, Europe and North America. Academics working in Japan typically make up 10 percent of conference attendees. All presentations and seminars are conducted in English. Smaller conferences attract 75-125 registrants, medium-sized conferences 125-250, and larger conferences between 250-500 delegates. The largest single event hosted by IAFOR is the Asian Conference on Education, and the 2012 event attracted over 450 participants. While attendance for 2011 conferences was adversely affected by the March 11 earthquake and subsequent nuclear situation, events in 2012 flourished with many doubling in attendance. In 2013, IAFOR will organize 21 themed conferences, 15 conferences in Osaka, Japan and 6 in Brighton, UK, with an expected total attendance of between 2000 and 3000 attendees.

2013 Rates for Advertising & Sponsorship

The following rates apply to IAFOR throughout 2013. Conditions may apply and IAFOR reserves the right to refuse advertisers or sponsors if they are felt not to be appropriate. In 2013 we have planned 21 conferences over 11 weekends, most being joint events. We charge per event (whether single or joint event). Exhibition Tables Exhibition tables are dressed in white, and are 1800 mm x 900 mm. They are placed in high traffic areas in either the base room or the adjoining room, depending on the size of the event. The cost to exhibit for one conference is JPY 25,000, and includes a table, as well as a pass for one member of staff. This staff member may stay at the Ramada hotel for the discounted conference attendee rates, and is invited to the conference welcome reception. Additional staff members may attend for JPY 25,000 and can access the same conditions. The cost per table is the same, whether the exhibition is for one and a half or two and a half days. Exhibition Table: 1.5 or 2.5 days, depending on the conference: JPY 25,000 (includes one member of staff and one invitation to the welcome reception) Conference Programmes The conference programme is produced in a high quality print form and is given to all conference registrants and exhibitors at the conference, and is used thereafter for publicity purposes. Programmes are also permanently archived on the IAFOR site as part of the research archive, and on the issuu publications site. IAFOR puts a lot of investment into its conference programmes, so they are well conceived and professionally designed and produced, so as to be aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate and practical. In print form the covers and inside covers are in full colour, and the interior is in high quality black and white. Cover adverts will be reproduced in full colour both in the printed programme and in online form. If originally in colour, Inside adverts will be rendered in black and white in the printed programme, and in full colour in the online version. The following rates apply for advertisements in the programme (per event): Inside half page JPY 15,000 (black and white) Inside full page JPY 25,000 (black and white)(Associate member=1 free page per conference) Inside front cover JPY 100,000 (colour) Outside back cover JPY 150,000 (colour) Tote-bag Inserts or Flyers to be included in the tote-bag of all delegates: JPY 10,000 per item Branded Stationery (pens, pencils, notepads, etc.) to be offered to delegates at the time of registration: FREE Access to Registrant List JPY 10,000 per conference

Sponsorship Keynote & Featured Speaker Sponsorship JPY 100,000-500,000 IAFOR wants to attract the best keynote and featured speakers to its events, and frequently invites speakers from the other side of the world. These costs are usually borne by the organization, but for sponsorship opportunities relating to the main speakers at IAFOR events, please contact [email protected] Tote-bag Sponsorship 150,000-300,000 Have your company or organization's logo exclusively on one side of the official conference tote-bag. Prices vary depending on the size of the event and logo specifications. Welcome Reception JPY 100,000 per conference Sponsor 1 Day Refreshment Breaks JPY 60,000 per day If you sponsor either a keynote or featured speaker, welcome reception, refreshment break, or tote-bag then you may brand the event at the time, and in both the programme and on the website. Your organization will also be mentioned in the welcome address and closing addresses. Printer and Internet Station JPY 50,000 per conference Printers and computers are provided for conference delegates that need to print out presentations, edit PowerPoint presentations, and check email during the conference. Have your company or organization’s logo displayed next to the station.

2013 Associate Membership

JPY 300,000 IAFOR is interested in engaging with commercial sponsors and publishers who share our internationalizing ideals on a more permanent basis, through an Associate membership (corporate partner) programme. If you join IAFOR as an Associate Member for 2013, then you will not only be entering into a mutually beneficial strategic partnership, but will also be able to secure large discounts on advertising. What you can expect from us... 1) An exhibition table and staff member admission to every individual or jointly held conference event organized by the International Academic Forum (usually JPY 25,000 per event). If you are not able to send staff then we will happily display promotional materials sent to us in the base room at no extra charge. 2) A free tote-bag insert or flyer (usually JPY 10,000 per event). 3) A free inside A4 advert in each highly professional conference programme (usually JPY 25,000 per event). 4) Access to delegate information, as well as applicant information after the conference (usually 10,000 per event) 5) Your organization will be mentioned and thanked in both the welcome and closing addresses as being an affiliate and helping support the event. 6) Your organization will be listed on our main IAFOR site, and your logo will be placed on all conference micro-sites. The above package (items 1-4) is worth JPY 70,000 per event, so JPY 770,000 in total over the entire year’s events, making a saving of JPY 470,000! And what do we expect from you?
